🇷🇺🇺🇦 Discussion: Relations with Russia and the war in Ukraine

Yeah, go after Poland, because that won't go badly.....

Without help I can’t see how Russia can maintain a fight on multiple fronts in foreign territories, especially against countries like Poland. The likes of Moldova, yeah, which is why that can’t be allowed to happen.

Like most conquerors who failed, Putin will fail too if stretches out too far, too thin. His greed would kill him.

He’s probably in a race against time with his health to finalise his legacy so might come to some extremely dumb short term decisions as he cares more about his legacy than Russia itself.

There is zero chance Putin does anything to a NATO country. He is scared absolutely witless by NATO. Every Russian in a position of power is. That's why he's been so keen to take over Ukraine, because he knows damn well that a democratic Ukraine would eventually and rightly seek the protection and backing of the one thing that can turn him into a smear on the landscape. Every act in this war is driven by a terror of both democracy, and the strength of the weaponry it can bring to bear if required.

He may be more worried about dying from a dagger in the back than from disease. There's a lot of rumors about dissent in the higher ups..

I certainly hope this true. Either that or we all go out in a blaze of nuclear glory. :(

Saw a report that the US are to have begun lobbying allies to sanction China if they provide military aid to Russia.

I hope its true. It would be better if China just stays out of it.

I'm confused on the part about Russia running out of money because I've also heard newscasters complain that the sanctions against Russia wasn't impacting enough Russians to get Putin to back off. Well, which is it? Are the sanctions working or not?

I know a fellow Lego collector in Russia, 20 mins from the Ukraine border. Outside of not being able to use PayPal, he says life is "normal".

And that in India? Wow, goes to show how awful they are at their narrative and that really only very few believe the lies and crap Russia spews.
The stuff is so ridiculous that even some supporters would be embarrassed. At least lie about things that that are only 90% untrue.
