🇷🇺🇺🇦 Discussion: Relations with Russia and the war in Ukraine

They love and would want to prolong and deepen any conflicts occurring now to take away the focus on their ongoing failed special military operation and also to dilute any more resources being sent to Ukraine.
I'm happy to let Putin keep losing his little war whether I'm paying attention to him or not. :D

Is Russia on their side because they oppose democracy? Anything we hate they love. :(

It's probably a numbers game for Putin. If he backs Isreal he doesn't gain many supporters but if he can get the Arab world including Iran, Saudi Arabia and much of Africa to back him he gains quite a bit in terms of oil, natural resources and international support.

Heavy emphasis on the oil.

Puti wants us to use up resources on Isreal that we could have sent to Ukraine. :( He doesn't care who gets killed in the process.

It's a difficult period now with 2 major fronts for countries already assisting Ukraine. If China made any move against Taiwan while there were going on it would be very hard to know where to divert resources to.

Exactly why I keep waiting for it to happen. Any minute now..... :(

Probably just recently opened his brown envelope from Putin.

Sanctions haven't slowed Putin down any as far as I can see. :(

Doesn't mean he likes them. Put as many barriers and inconveniences his way as possible.

Oh, I'm not saying don't do it, just don't expect a huge impact or anything. :(

Gas station complains about alternatives.

No punishment for the wicked. :( No fair.

Because Putin knows he's untouchable. :(

Having to grow up in the country that invaded you and likely in many cases killed those around you and those who cared for you. :csad:

The littlest ones probably don't even remember Ukraine, and before long the older ones won't either. :(
