The Russian military has come back from serious setbacks and the brink of defeat on several occasions in modern European history. We should not underestimate it and Ukraine needs every ounce of support as it faces an enemy that is re-tooling and in it for the long haul.

The Russian military has come back from serious setbacks and the brink of defeat on several occasions in modern European history. We should not underestimate it and Ukraine needs every ounce of support as it faces an enemy that is re-tooling and in it for the long haul.

Worrying read. They're totally committed long term and it's Putin life obsession at this point. Whatever their levels of incompetence last year, they are now on a long term war footing and their next wave of armaments produced won't be soviet era vehicles that haven't been used for decades. The West needs to maintain their backing of Ukraine for as long as it takes.

I like the idea of ending the war, but if Russia gains territory out of this Putin will still see it as a victory and try to grab even more land down the road.

So all you have to do is attack if you want something and the victim will be pushed to let you have what you want and then call it quits till of course you decide to attack again to get more. Russia was losing but this will turn it into a big win for Putin and get the country right behind him again for all future efforts. This is being called peace but will lead to a lot more war long term.
