🇷🇺🇺🇦 Discussion: Relations with Russia and the war in Ukraine

Oh I'm sure it's just the western press lying about bombing a children's hospital to make Putin look bad. They probably doctored those pictures and handed out scrubs to people so they would look like hospital workers.

Mr. Putin would never intentionally hurt innocent civilians or invade a country without provocation. Just ask any theo/autocrat.

EDIT: Magyar better watch his back.

Bhadrakumar on the recent meeting between North Korean and Russian leadership. He mentions that the military component is the most discussed aspect of the meeting, but that we should pay more attention to the economic aspects.

He discusses plans for more infrastructure connecting the two countries (these countries can actually build infrastructure), and that Russia, specifically Russia's far east, will benefit greatly from being able to bring in skilled North Korean labour as guest to workers.

There are two main reasons for Russia's labour shortage: the fertility crash of the 1990s, and the economic boom due to the sanctions.

In the long term this will benefit North Korea, as they will never again deal with situations such as famine.

About India:

India has the world's largest democracy and in fact largest population, the third largest economy, is home to 2,000 ethnic groups, 22 official languages, and has a civilization that is approximately 5,000 years old.

It is a complex place. I can understand the temptation of some to dismiss it, but I think it's better to respect it and seek to understand as its own agent with its own interests and constraints.

In a broader context, I think that the leadership of India is not seeking to be a pawn of either side in West vs China/Russia/Iran conflict desired by many. It is seeking to be its own independent pole of world power with independent relations to all major players, which is as it should be given its history and culture.

This explains a lot.

Saudi Arabia warned Europe that they would liquidate their European assets if Europe confiscated Russian assets.

For those who have not caught on, the purpose of confiscating Russia's assets in Europe is to set up a precedent, so as to eventually confiscate the assets of potentially all non-White countries.

I'll assume that Saudi Arabia (among others) will discourage that from happening, until it has itself sold off enough of it's European assets that it no longer cares.

He's smart enough to know that it probably wasn't Russia that bombed that hospital.

But they never let facts get in the way of White supremacy.

You literally have to take Russias money away to make them care.
They dont care what you call them...for the love of all, they bombed a Childrens Hospital...factual.
They didnt "accidentally" drop bombs on the wrong place, they targeted and hit a Childrens Hospital.
There is proof and all that...and Russia doesnt care.

Walking up to Russias ambassador and telling him his country is the trash of humanity...does not interest said ambassador.
They cheer and celebrate children hospitals being bombed.

You cant do a lot of damage with mean words.

Belarus has joined the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, in a move which will help secure that country's future from Western aggression:

Also of interest, China and Belarus recently held joint military exercises near the Ukrainian border:

I read up more on the accidental Ukrainian bombing of the children's hospital. There's a lot going on there.

What did happen was that Russia targeted a weapons depot near the children's hospital, probably with 4 KH-101 missiles.

Ukraine's aur defenses are depleted, so they countered with one inadequate missile, probably a NASAMs. That's what hit the hospital.

It may have gone off course due to jamming by the Russian missiles.

A lot of issues at play, such as the lack of Western manufacturing of air defense, the low level of the technology, and the gullibility of Western MSM that bought the NATO argument in spite of it not making sense a priori.

Putin's Russia would no more engage in this kind of activity than they would bomb a children's hospital. I'm sure it was someone else. :o
