🏈 NFL - Game On

We all need to have a conversation about if the Chiefs lose to the Colts next Sunday, there's a real possibility that they miss the playoffs.

Bills beat Texans
Jags beat Cardinals

The Chiefs would essentialy be 3 games behind Buffalo, 3 games behind Jacksonville and possibly 3 games behind the LA Chargers because of a division tiebreaker.

I still think their path is gonna revolve around how LA Chargers fare the end of the season. Their schedule is brutal.

The Chiefs season is on the line this Sunday.
If the Bills win, it looks like part of the reason is that Mills is better at hitting the opponents CBs in the back than he is at hitting his receiver's hands.

Hopefully, Mills can figure out how to do the latter.....more later.

Maybe I'm missing something, but could someone explain to me why Josh Allen wasn't flagged for grounding in the 4th QTR just before their FG? He was not outside the tackle box and there was no eligible receiver in the area (he hit one of his linemen). Not that it matters, but it didn't even get past the line of scrimmage.

Was it because someone was hanging all over him and he couldn't really be expected to throw it far enough??? I've never heard of that rule....

EDIT: The Texans tried really hard to lose that game, but never sad to see Allen on the ground.....8 times plus a tackle behind the line of scrimmage where he fell forward for 2 yards.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. I guess the officials thought the throw had been affected by the defense?

LMAO

Bills and Allen proving once again why the are Capital L Losers. That guy will never win a damn thing. Got bailed out all night for sucking, and with the game on the line throws a duck off his back foot instead of to the guy wide ass open for the first. LOSER. Those suckbags better start rooting for Pittsburgh because they sure as hell are not winning a rematch in Baltimore.

You are tempting fate. :funny:

I "think" the rule is that unless the ball is deflected, it's where the ball lands that determines whether or not it's grounding. I've seen a million (or so LOL) plays where the QB is unable to get the ball past the line of scrimmage because someone is hanging on to him and it doesn't matter. The fact is that he was IN the tackle box, under duress, and hit his lineman with a pass with no eligible receiver in the area code.

I'd love to hear the explanation. I'm no rules expert, but I've seen that called more times than I can remember.

Anyway, God's will was done tonight. LOL

EDIT: Mills is not a very good QB, but Houston has a very good looking D. They could cause trouble come playoff time.

If the Texan's defense can play anywhere close the way they did tonight (and I don't mean sacks), they are going to make some teams very uncomfortable. It's weird to have a team play such good D and make bonehead plays that put the other team back into the game. It looks like Stroud will be back in 10 days against the Colts and I like their chances against them (and the Chiefs) with Stroud at QB. They end their season against the Colts at home and I think some teams are getting rather nervous.

Of course next week we may all have a laugh at my expense.....I'll put it on my credit card.
