If they make the right hire, I think it could be a really good situation for the coach. This team has talent and doesn't seem like they have any critical players as free agents in 2026 (See ya Russ LOL). Nabers is due back and the Giants will clearly be near the top of each round in the draft next year. They also look to have some spending money. Frankly, I think this is a team that could be above .500 this season and could dramatically improve in 2026.

The Giants are in a very good position to improve next season if they can make the right move at coaching. I think they need to go with a defensive coaching hire. You're gonna be competing with Hurts/Daniels for the next 10 years.

The offense looks to be in good position for next season. I think grabbing some FA offensive players and going defense in the draft. Arvell Reese from Ohio State would be a fantastic pick if he's there when they pick.

I agree. I think the Jets can also improve pretty dramatically, but that division looks like it could get pretty tough. The Jets have some talent (esp on the defensive side of the ball, but trading Sauce has got to have an effect), but that offense.....when you're that bad, it puts a lot of pressure on the other side of the ball. The upside is that they have a lot of draft capital and a LOT of cap space. As the old Brooklyn Dodgers used to say "Wait til next year".

Every Fall my otherwise primarily nerdy self gets really into football only to be cruelly reminded of how many frustratingly dumb rules there are in this game. "Oh, that's an illegal forward pass." "Oh, that's an ineligible receiver." "Oh, that's excessive celebration." No they're not. Those aren't real things. If we shredded every page in the book that wasn't there specifically for the safety of the players, everything would be 500x better.

That Chargers record is so fraudulent. Wouldn't shock me if they only win one more game down the stretch here and end up close to .500 or even under. I know you can't really plan for OLine injuries and the nature, but Greg Roman is such an archaic hack. Should've never gotten another shot after the Ravens said "no more."

I'm all for player safety, but how about this rule....

The eligible receiver was off the line (by about a foot) and covered up by another eligible receiver....Illegal formation and a 5 yard penalty....would someone PLEEEEEASE let me know why this is advantageous for the offense??

I can see why your linemen aren't eligible unless they report as so because the defense has to cover them and why a QB can't pass when he's past the line of scrimmage (if that's what you mean), but that case of illegal formation is flat out stupid. It gives no advantage to the offense. I'm sure there are a lot of rules that also make no sense.

Good games today. As a Raider fan, I'm lost when it comes to KC v Broncos....root for the Broncs because the Chiefs have been doing well????

Falcons are challenging the Giants for the title of "Who is best at losing in the 4th quarter".

There are a lot of teams who suck this year that may turn it around in 2026.

Soooooooo glad to see the Bills lose. As a fan, there are good players that you want to see fail and most of them are QBs. My hall fo famers are Mahomes, Allen, Prescott.....AND "Tuck Rule Tommy" (I know it's not his fault, and it's going WAY back, but I don't care LOL).

I forgot to mention Bears v Vikes.....Jesus, could the Bears actually WIN the division?? Caleb Williams is a freak of nature and I get why he was picked #1. I like Maye A LOT, but Williams has almost no ceiling. Tackling him in the pocket is like trying to Catch the Wind (Early Donovan reference). I think he's been pressured about 30 times without being sacked (Vikes did get him though) and a ton of his escapes have been jaw dropping.

The last Tank Bowl I went to was Jacksonville last year and we actually won. This one could be for all the marbles. LOL I'm just hoping it's a blowout after 3 quarters cause if it's close, the Giants D will find a way.......

We can now talk about stupid rules AND stupid calls. I don't think the Lions win that game anyway, but the ref has to at least give them a chance instead of giving the game away with one of the stupidest calls I've seen in quite some time.

It's not like they were on the line of scrimmage and they missed or called a hold that should or shouldn't have been called. This was just a blown call on an island for all to see.

For once, I even agree with Chris Collinsworth (just had to swallow a little vomit after writing that).

It was last year only it was just before Xmas. I actually had a T shirt made and wore it to the game. Some people actually need to get a life and got mad at me. One person started yelling at me that you play to win games. I guess it didn't help that I was laughing at him the whole time.
