The episode ain't too shabby so far.

"Where did you learn all this stuff from?"
"X-Men #143 when Kitty Pryde travels through time."

I'm still laughing. :)

And I was hoping that a superhero reference wouldn't be referenced in this show, but hey, this is set in our world. :o

I just don't want it to turn into a comic book literally.

I am still thinking about it like this:

- The show is called Heroes, so will they actually become Heroes and fight evil (In a real world sorta way)?
- Will they all eventually meet?
- Will they form a team? (X-Men?)
- Will there be a villain? (Obviously, we might've already found her)
- With all of these characters, will there be a driving force/plot/goal to the show?

Didn't see all of it, but I taped it. Looks good (loved the trailer for the upcoming episodes).

It was okay. But the seires preview at the end sold it for me. This show looks like it's going to get VERY interesting.

Tim Sales art was fantastic too. Best I have probabaly seen from him.

I loved it.

I thought it was going to be 2hrs. I was all hyped for 2 hrs. :(

Oh well. It was a good first episode.

Loved the two twists.

The evil guy being the girls father and the older brother being the one who can fly.

Can't wait for next week.

Same here. This seems like a show that gets better with time.

I really liked it..only person's power I don't get is the blonde's with the kid? Can somone explain?

Man the preview for future eps show Hiro reading a comic about himself.

My thought is that there is someone out there that has the power to draw pictures and they come to life or it goes the Unbreakable route

Cross your fingers this series doesn't fail like "Surface"

I give it a fair 8/10.
Not bad.

I'll be watching this show next week.

- I think her reflection takes form and is evil.
Astral projection that can take physical characteristics/abilities?

- Maybe it is her true side, and maybe she, herself, kill those two men unconsciously, while her bad side took over?

- Split-personality?

Hiro seems like the one who will prove most useful, based off of the preview for the rest of the series. Any bets on if both brothers will fly?

I haven't seen enough yet to draw a solid opinion. I'll check it out next week and see where it goes from there.

That's the best explaination I could think of.

I really wasn't that impressed with the first episode, I'll watch the replay tomorrow night and hope it grows on me.

I'll give it a couple more episodes to really straighten itself out before I cump all over it, but the way the NBC hype machine has been building this show I expected a bit more in the way of character.

I just hope the acting gets better as the series progresses ala Star Trek: The Next Generation.

6/10

edit: All that having been said, I really want them to add a Flash or Quicksilver-like character.

I think they suggested as much what the brothers being connected. Sort of like Tomax and Xamot.:cwink:

I loved this. The story has so much meat to it and there are so many directions they can go.The twists were great and there was so many questions that came up.

I really don't know what some people were expecting, this was a solid opener.I liked how they managed to keep the serious almost "life as we know it is boring" mood throughout the entire show, loved it.

I don't jump on the bandwagon with any of these new hit TV shows, but this was just RIGHT up my alley.

Perfect 10.

Anyone catch a glimpse of Sale's art in the previews?Sweet.

All good explanations...thanks :word:

Didn't they mean x-men 141, thats days of the future past?? Shouldn't tey get **** like that right when their prime audience knows that kind of thing.

It was a good premire. They did a nice job of already connecting all the charecters in some way. The previews looked intresting. And from interviews the show will get more interesting since not like everyone is going to have a happy ending.

Right...I highly doubt that the majority of their viewers will know what number Kitty Pride actually time traveled in. Just because there are people on this board who know all of this, there probably arent that many people watching the show that know. The most they probably do know is who the X-men are.
