I really can't believe how bad it was. It' as bad as movies shown in MST3K and that is really saying something. The movies shown on that show are among the worst ever and 10,000 BC is in that league.

Same here. I really don't think I want to spend the money at a theatre on this after so much bad word of mouth.

I was at least expecting the action to be fair to decent but sounds like that was also a big fail.
 
I read someone said that a new Batman trialer was going to play during the previews of this movie, i guess that was pure B.S :o

Well at the theater I work at only trailers we got were the new Iron Man, Righteous Kill, and the recent TDK trailer that everyone has already seen anyways. So it's just the same Batman trailer to begin with anyways.
 
god this movie sucked.

i gave it a 3 out of 10, because it made me laugh (unintentionally)

i won't go into any great detail with my review, because i don't think it's needed, but let's just say that the general consensus is spot on. this movie is pure garbage. emmerich's worst movie, bar none, and one of the most overindulgent wastes of a cgi budget i've ever seen.
 
What makes it so bad though? Not that I care that much... is the acting just atrocious? The plot??? Was the CGI that bad? What is it?

all of the above.

the cgi, plot, dialogue and acting are downright laughable, and borderline offensive.
 
Worse. Hayden isn't even one of the worse compared to the bottom of the barrel. He is like a breath of fresh air.
 
I stayed clear of this movie because of the reviews. I usually ignore the reviews and take the chance but after some of the things I read , I couldn't bring myself to do it. Harry at aint it cool totally blasts this film. I never imagined it would be a train wreck.

WTF? I completely disagree.

The effects were extremely impressive, man. The only thing that was subpar was the sabretoothed tiger. Everything else was very good. Not groundbreaking good, but way better than your typical non-Blockbuster movie would.

You must have low standards, then. The CGI was pretty awful, if you ask me. Even the establishing shots of the mountains, when the dudes were walking (which was pretty much the entire movie). The bird-like creatures (ostriches?) and the mammoths. EVERYTHING SUCKED.
 
I won't say it was bad..it was just so empty, pointless and vapid, I felt tortured because I just wanted to take a nap.
I'm actually kind of angry this thing got my time and money. And at $8.50, it twernt cheap.
 
Glad the Hulk trailer wasn't attached to it... I might of been sucked into seeing it.
 
The trailer looks exciting but the movie is really boring. We have 1 hour+ of Dileh or whatever his name is walking around the world. I was patient and thought that seeing him recruiting more and more warriors, I would see some epic final battle.

Except that it's not really that epic. And the good guys kinda win easily

6/10. OK film, just boring at sometimes.

They weren't ostriches, nor were they dodos like someone else suggested!
Jeez, if ignorance was bliss, some people would be in pure paradise.

They were prehistoric flightless birds, of which there were many species.

I think, regardless of the negative views, I'm going to see this movie, as it has to be seen on the big screen. I'm not expecting much more than a prehistoric fantasy epic, it's not supposed to be a documentary on the Discovery channel. I shall judge it for myself!
 
Well, the CGI in the trailer looks amazing so I'm dowloading it now. Hoping that it wont be a waste of my time :huh:

The only CGI I thought was good was
The slave boats, those sails were so beautiful, the pyramids and the surrounding area. Also, the mammoths

Well, I want to make up my own mind, rather than being an internet sheep whose behaviour is controlled by others. I'm not going to miss out on life's ups and downs and stay locked in my house because of some negative stuff on here.
 
I trust my Nubian queen, we have similar tastes, i think i'll probably hang off n this one unless i am really bored.
