Smallville 11.1 - Guardian - Discussion Thread (Spoilers)

I am sure dr. Hamilton will find a way to get rid of it asap unless it was already mentioned.

Superman mentions that Emil ran a round of tests to confirm Lex's radiation plan. But yeah, I'm sure it will be solved soon. Just wish we could have seen this during the show.

That radiation specifically is some non-harmful compound with a half-life of around 500 years which Lex can use satellites to track Superman's whereabouts anywhere, anytime, meaning Clark Kent can't ever go home to Lois for as long as he is tagged with the stuff.

Lex has done this before in the Post-Crisis Superman comics. The Solution was that Superman fly directly into the heart of the Sun to burn the radiation off.

I wonder if SV Hamilton will mention this to Clark as a possible solution. Either way Superman will overcome this and return to Lois. So I'm not worried. Can't wait for Batman's debut after 10 F'n years of waiting THE DARK KNIGHT will finally be make his debut in the smallville universe.

I know can't wait to see how batman story plays out. And what they do to cure clark.

I remember that, that was when no one was certain (except for long time Superman fans) if he'd survive going into the core of the Sun.

If I'm not mistaken something similar was even done on "Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman", only instead of the Sun, Superman went into a nuclear reactor to get rid of the radiation.

Point is this type of thing has happened more than once and is actually very easy for Superman to get rid of.

That's right, Clark's powers were super charged to the max after that trip for a while and that's basically when he learned his body was a solar battery.

Yeah the episode was "Home Is Where the Hurt Is"

Exactly.

That was a good lois and clark episode. And like you guys said we have easy ways to cure clark.

Probably will drag it out for most of the batman story I could see.

they will probably have Batman figure it out for Supes and end that ark with Bruce telling Clark to take a sun dip lol

These episodes are quite long.

I picked up my printed copy of #4 at my local comic book store today and it seems like the smallville comic series is a hot item according to the store owner who says that surprisingly this series is selling quite well.

I've fallen behind on comic books since AvX#6 came out and ahven't been able to afford anything weekly anymore, however I will buy all Detective comics in print and call ahead to hold them.

Picked up issue 4 the other day was great finally seeing the end for guardian and all that. Can't wait to see where lex story goes and good wrap up on hank/cyborg superman story.

That sucks for you guys having trouble getting the book. For me I have one main go to store and about 5 others I go to when I miss something or can't get something at my main place. Had trouble myself getting issue 1 of sv book.

But about a month ago my store changed from email list order system to a pull order system. Where they get a list of what ever your titles you want and they instantly pull book and hold it to you come in and get it. Which for them is to prevent them from needing to do reorders of books. Which was a big problem for them. And for me at least haven't had a issue with them missing a book. Only thing I hate doing now is I have to check shipping lists from diamond/etc.... sites so I can remind myself what's coming each week. So I make sure I have everything.

I always buy my comics online (not digitial, buying printed comics from an online store). So I'll be seeing this issue this Monday.

I wouldn't mind doing that. But then there the chance issues could get damaged in mail. More so if you got a small mailbox and idiot mailperson bends/fold mail.

It depends on who you buy them from and how they ship them. I don't buy too many comics, but the few that I do have, most of them I got online from Amazon and they usually come in a box that UPS delivery as opposed to a regular mailman.
