He definitely looked medicated to me, he could barely hold his eyes open sometimes...

On CNN, Dr. Drew says he looks medicated....since Dr. Drew works with people all the time who are in various stages of all kinds of "medication" I will go with his opinion on this.

I can definitely buy the fact that maybe this prick hasn't slept since Thursday and his body is trying to shut down.

Isn't he being investigated for fraud because he took money to promote a psych drug and never disclosed that he was essentially a paid spokesperson?

It never showed a full frontal shot...so there was no way of course to get a clear view of his eyes, but there were a couple of times where he was starring straight ahead, and I swear I thought he was going to sleep.

Yeah, but that doesn't mean he didn't go to school, and doesn't know when someone is medicated....lol, just makes me wonder why a news organization would use him as an expert since he is being investigated for fraud.

Yes, I think they've handled this very well. What this must be doing to them from a business standpoint has got to be terrible. It did affect their box office this weekend, and I don't have a clue how they go forward promoting it from here. But they've clearly made that part of it secondary to the tragedy itself, which has been the best thing for them to do.

They almost have to...not promote it for a short while. Just to give this tragedy the space it needs to breathe. If they keep hitting it full steam it'll come across insensitive.

I have no idea....but being accused of fraud, for not telling people you are a paid spokesman, doesn't mean he as a doctor, who regularily deals with people who are on and addicted to various drugs, doesn't know what he is talking about when it comes to giving an opinion on if someone is medicated or not.

I think he's just absolutely whipped. I really don't think you can medicate a prisoner before he/she goes before a judge. They have to understand the charges against them, etc., assuming they are not already declared insane.

Why would any civillian have the need for "rights" to carry a machine gun?

There's is a speed limit in the US right? It's there for a reason.
There's laws against drug abuse right? It's there for a reason.
There's laws against drinking for minors right? It's there for a reason.

The only reason there's nog guncontrol in some states is for the financial gain of companies.

Why did you delete the part of my quote where I specifically said "I may agree that civilians have no need for assault rifles", and then proceed to argue a point to me that I never made a case against?

Also, whatever happened to my avatar and custom title?

Dr. Drew said....if the prisoner is in a severe manic state where he is a threat to himself or others, he can be medicated to calm him down. He said he was surprised though that his lawyers wouldn't have had them lessen his meds for this appearance.

The former state senator Russell Pierce, a prominent conservative, says Colorado victims lacked the courage to stop the gunman. Where have I heard this before.......

Yeah I stated that in the previous page that he could have been medicated if he was volitale but I'm unaware of how that all goes. Reports were that he was uncooperative and spitting at is bars and perhaps other prisoners initially before he was sent to solitary confinement. Truth will come out about today's appearance.

They've cancelled the premieres for New Mexico and Japan now as well.

I dont know if this has been said but an AR-15 is NOT an assault rifle. An assault rifle is defined as a selective fire weapon that is a weapon that has a mechanism built in for switching between semi and fully automatic. The AR-15 is a civillian model that does not have selective fire and is ONLY semi-automatic. They fire the .223 calibre bullet which is civillian legal and fired by many different rifles. The AR15 offers civilians an effective and multi-purpose round in an easier to maintain gun. They have very little recoil. They also have a versatile rail system. This all makes them extremely popular. They are great for hunting and can be used for self defense. Ill say again the AR-15 is NOT an assault rifle. It is a civillian model of the military's M4 and M16 and is only semi-automatic only. The military version is the assault rifle. If he was using the military version with selective fire the media and police need to use it proper name. If he was using the AR-15 then they need to stop calling it an assault rifle. The media and police are not helping with gun confusion.

I thought that same thing, because if they are going for "insanity" that was not a smart thing to do.....some people have described as looking sad, I could see that, but I didn't buy it...lol

Because Denver and Aurora are considered gun free zones, so people cannot conceal carry or open carry.

I wouldn't call them cowards. 30 minutes into a dark movie in a dark theater, smoke, and then bullets ripping into you and your friends/family. That man is an idiot.

Thank you!!! Someone on here gets it. The .223 round is a standard hunting round. The AR15 is used in night hunts when wild boars/hogs are destroying farmland.
I own three myself and I enjoy the sport of shooting target. It does not make me feel like a bad ass at the gun range. I don't feel like a tough guy when I'm using one as someone assumed earlier. People ask why do you want or need one? Why do you collect comics, statues, games, movies or toys? I am a gun collector and I enjoy shooting my collection at the gun range.

Who cares? He questioned the actual courage of the people in the movie theater. Here's the statement (which he has since deleted) he put on his Facebook page:

"Had someone been prepared and armed they could have stopped this 'bad' man from most of this tragedy," Pearce wrote. "He was two and three feet away from folks, I understand he had to stop and reload. Where were the men of flight 93???? Someone should have stopped this man. Someone could have stopped this man."

"Lives were lost because of a bad man, not because he had a weapon, but because no one was prepared to stop it. Had they been prepared to save their lives or lives of others, lives would have been saved. All that was needed is one [courageous]/brave man prepared mentally or otherwise to stop this. t could have been done. When seconds count, police are ony minutes away."

Invoking Flight 93 (not to mention thinking those were all men)? Really?

I hate this argument. I don't want a gun. I don't want to carry one, and I don't want to shoot one. I shouldn't have to carry one to the movies, to a restaurant, or anywhere else.

I've stayed out of the gun debate because I can't stand it. But I don't want a damn gun.

Hey, if the AR 15 can be made to only shoot 6 rounds at a time.....more power to it....I don't really care what the gun is called, the caliber used, whatever.....but the amount of ammunition that some of these weapons can put out in a few seconds is not good, and that needs to change. The fact that this guy was able to buy armor piercing bullets is ridiculously stupid.....it is moronic that we have that available to the public....totally moronic.

It's been brought up, but so many people here and else where aren't getting that, so it being posted again can't hurt.

I'm not calling anyone a coward in that situation. I thought it was being implied that why didn't anyone shoot back. The situation might have been different if a few had conceal carry licenses and were carrying.
In states that recognize CCW or open carry, crime rates are low because criminals are afraid of being shot. Crime in England went up 300% when they banned guns. If our current regime in Washington decides to ban guns, this country is going to become a cesspool for all kinds of crime.
