I've seen Cannibal The Musical...does that make me cool again? :csad:

I administer the cool test when your cool is questioned.

In the television show, Spaced, how does Brian attempt to avoid cliches with his painting?

Have you seen any other stage productions?

I have seen The Glass Menagerie on Broadway as well as some local plays (which were pretty forgettable). I also saw my bro in off-Broadway productions of Henry VI and The Merry Wives of Windsor (he is an actor).

I actually also was the writer/director of a short play that my group in my Art of the Theatre class had to put on for our final. Most fun I have ever had in college was directing that play.

I have never watched Spaced :csad:

I've seen Red Dwarf though! One of my all-time favorite shows

WHY ARE YOU MAKING THIS SO HARD!?!?!?!?

Brazil? Hot Fuzz? Psych? 12 Monkeys?

Hot Fuzz is fantastic, loved 12 Monkeys. Only seen a few episodes of Psych.

I bought Brazil yesterday and plan on watching it tomorrow. It has been high on my list of films to watch for a while, so I am excited to see it.

So tell us about your Mom's....recent changes.

So tell us about your Mom's....recent changes.

I knew this was going to get asked :woot:

For those who don't know, my mother is trans and is making the transition from female to male right now. We're a few months in the transition now. My mom has yet to get breast reduction surgery, but is hoping to get to that point soon. Since the transition, my mom kind of now look somewhat Puerto Rican. There is actually a get up my mom has that make him look like a drug dealer, lol.

My mom also has 2 girlfriends. Which is 2 more than me at this time, lol.

As far as the transition goes, I'm very okay with it. Mom's happier now than ever, and that makes me very happy, though I know this would be hard for many people to take in

That's really cool!

If it makes her happy, that's really all that matters. It's good to see that you support her throughout this process. Like you said, it can be a very difficult situation.

Spider-Fan... does Marx really think that is "really cool" or is he just saying that and trying to hide his disdain... and his band geekery?

Yes it can. It's been interesting to see the experience as a whole. From some of the more unsupportive members of my family, to my mom gaining more confidence as the transition has gotten further. There was a time I had to wait outside a publc restroom to make sure no one would go in when my mom used the men's bathroom. Now my mom just goes in not caring. Small things like that I've been watching closely.

Besides, it is not like my mom is changing as a person. Just the physical appearance I've been accustomed to in prior years is changing.

As an optimist, I'll say he thinks it's really cool.

Don't hate, appreciate :)

Will you always refer to your mom as mom?

Will you always refer to your mom as mom?

The reason I do that is because my mom doesn't want to be referred to by femanine pronouns. This is a bit tricky, cause my brain thinks "mom" and immediately want to say a femanine pronoun. Cause mom is a femanine word. I always mess up when I try to use a pronoun (hard to trick my brain to do the opposite), so I opt to say "mom" and use no pronoun at all.

Eventually I won't do that, but for now that's what I'm doing. Until I can train my brain to do it right.

EDIT: If you mean will I ever call my mom "dad," then no. We've had that conversation, and mom will always be mom.

It's a shame that there aren't more people like you in the world.

Thanks Marx, that's very high praise and I am grateful for it :)

How old are you?

What do you look like? (picture if possible)

What do you think is your greatest accomplishment in life thus far?

Out of all the ages you have been, if you had to be one age for the rest of your life which one would you choose?

What are you afraid of?

What is your favorite place in New York City?

Do you have a thinking place?

Who is your greatest influence and/or someone you look up to?

You wake up one day and a zombie outbreak has occured, what do you do?

22

Since I'd have to upload a pic on photobucket and it will likely come out huge, I'll provide a link to my myspace profile. You can get some pics of me there

What do you think is your greatest accomplishment in life thus far?

I'd personally go with finishing draft #1 of my script, but since I've covered this a bit, I'll list a few other things I'm proud of. I have a 3.8 GPA so far in college (4 times Dean's List, 1 time President's List, though I had a 4.0 GPA a second time, just not 15 credits that semester). I participated in the World's Affairs Challenge and Model UN programs for my high school in NY. I got my first apartment last year and my first job that didn't require me knowing anyone there last year. I was Co-winner of the Sportmanship Award and a Team Captain for my JV football team sophomore year.

I have a lot to be proud of :)

Out of all the ages you have been, if you had to be one age for the rest of your life which one would you choose?

I'll go 22 because I feel like I am smarter and more comfortable with myself now than I have ever been.

What are you afraid of?

I don't fear things irrationally (though I feel I must kill a spider if I see it). I more fear bigger things that could happen. I don't want to die right now. However, my greatest fears in life are regret and loneliness. I don't want to be in let's say my 40's, and realize I lived a life I didn't want to live and that I have no one to turn to. I unfortunately have many regrets and hope to stop that trend starting this year.

What is your favorite place in New York City?

I know this is not a unique answer, but Times Square and the streets near it. It is the heart of it all, and I love so many stores around there. Midtown comics, Virgin, the AMC theatre, etc. My favorite place in the world

Do you have a thinking place?

My thinking place is my mind. I don't go in any one place to think. I just focus my mind a little, and I can fade out and think anywhere. However, in NY, my thinking place was the subway train. One of my favorite parts of being there was riding the subway and relaxing.

Who is your greatest influence and/or someone you look up to?

The people I look up to most would be my brother and mother. Both know what they want and have actively pursued it, and they are happier people for it. I'm glad I'm finally showing that same determination and courage in my life.

You wake up one day and a zombie outbreak has occured, what do you do?

I'm the idiot that would try to find out where his family and friends are, then go to a gun shop, arm myself, and try to save them :csad:
