The girl who must eat every 15 minutes to stay alive

I feel sorry for the poor girl. I just wish I could eat like that and not be a BLIMP!

Well, she won't be the subject of any Sir Mix-A-Lot songs any time soon.

Good lord, that's a terrible condition. :\ Poor girl. :(

Eat what? Giggity. :awesome:

Never mind, I just saw the pic. :csad:

So you reset the alarm every fifteen minutes during bed time or what? Or do you just go with the double whammy triple sow cow burger for dinner and breakfast.

Iv's perhaps while she sleeps?

Yea, an IV plan during sleep makes sense.

It's real, and it's terrible. I'm surprised she made it this far though.

I wasn't expecting her to look like that. Poor woman. Her legs look painful.

She could actually eat more. Michael Phelps has to down 12,000 calories a day to keep up enough energy for his hardcore training. And he doesn't eat every 15 minutes either, he just eats A LOT when he does. All he does is swim, eat, and sleep, but it's definitely possible. :funny:

But yeah, it's actually quite a bit of work for someone who isn't used to eating that much in a day. I could eat a lot more than I'm doing right now (I'm definitely underweight and could use a few more pounds), but my stomach still rebels. My GI tract has not been liking me the past 6 months, and I don't like pushing it.

And if they determine that it has something to do with her thyroid, there are actually drugs they could give her to slow her metabolism down some. But the article isn't too clear about that.

I remember ATP something about this in the SHSkype Chat. Someone made the cruel joke that she looked liked the creature thing from [Rec] and [Rec] 2. :csad:

some think she has a form of progeria (sp?)

Dang....I thought Desmond had it bad pushing that button for all those years.....

I had the worst case of hyperthyroidism that my doctors have ever seen before and I wasn't anywhere near that bad. Besides, they test for that with a simple blood and iodine uptake test, both of which are easily testable in a matter of days.
