Do you think it was unfair of Hitchcock to blame Virtigo's poor performance on James Stewart... especially now seeing as it is hailed as his masterpiece?

Erm, it depends on the way you look at it. I know where Hitchcock is coming from. He is not essentially saying that Vertigo was unsuccessfully critically because of James Stewart but simply because of his age. Within the 50s it started to come apparent that teenagers existed as a new demographic. I think also because I don't think anyone could see Stewart in such a role as he is the NICE guy. This role takes his niceness to such an extreme that his vertigo turns into obsession and he turns into a nasty piece of work.

Favourite Hitchcock film?
At present probably North by Northwest, but I love many of his films.

Worst favourite least most unlikeable worst Hitchcock film?
I haven't got one really...although I need to watch alot more of his films.

Depends what it was. I don't think it would annoy me but I'd definitely try and get involved and try and add a little bit of Lee into the mix haha.

Would you give him tips?

like I just said, yeah I would haha and I have done. My mate is making a short film that I've been acting in that we've been doing since May, it's not even that long haha. I always say that maybe he should get a shot from this angle or maybe if they did this instead of that and what not.

Afterwards, would you give him PG Tips?
If he asked for tea I would. Then I'd do a HUGE routine in the kitchen to that over the top tune...but I'd only do if a cow came along and sang too haha.

Would you ever like to use animals in your filming projects... like the monkies from the PG Tips adverts?

Animals could be fun, I just haven't really had the chance to think about that as I want to try and film humans a lot more first and get used to that before I move on to anythinf revolving around Animals haha.

Sorry I haven't asked you questions earlier, I have had flu of the man variety. Have you had a cold or flu lately, and why would I be remotely interested if you have?

I have not no. I'm one of those types that gets little bouts of colds and sneezes and has them for a while but I never get the flu of the man variety where I have to stay in bed for months upon end, I'm thankful for that.
I think I'm just mentally ill, which makes up for it.

How are you finding University?
I changed from my university and am now living at home. I find it a little more bearable but still need to do more work next term. Still, I made a fairly satisfying short film

How's it going with the cold that is currently predominant in Europe?
It is BLOODY freezing. Thankfully I haven't had the need to be out in the cold for long periods of time, but still I have not bought any gloves and all my face turns into an icicle.

If you are willing to sacrifice box office success for critical aclaim, is it because you believe you will recieve the financial rewards thereafter or that you think money is not important?

At the moment, being a student...I'm not making movies for money...I would sacrifice a great paycheck to create something that I pour my heart into and am ultimately rewarded by making the best critically acclaimed film I could... not necessarily the most financially successful.

How do you plan to get the financing to create movies?
Well I hope to try and get financing for a film at least in the next few years, so I will probably consult the London/British film council which funds short films. But I will build up my skill and knowledge before I even try to achieve such a feat.

When do you graduate?
2011, so quite a long way away.

The last time I went into the centre of London was Friday 18th December when I went to Camden market with my two friends, we bought a few CDs from this great punk/hardcore/ska/psychobilly shop called all ages records, ate curry from the awesome mini food court and then ended up in a HUGE pub called 'The World's end'
