15 year old boy killed for being Catholic

I didn't realise death and murder was a compitition.

lets generalize things shall we...it's not a comp*e*tition, it's simply an conversation on how unimpressed/shocked we are that this could and does happen.

Oh look, it's a spelling nazi, come to destroy us all!

oh look...it's oversensitive boy come to be a baby...how about we stay on subject and not pick fights?

You're the one acting like an English teacher. Yes, I'd like to get back on the subject.

This kind of crap makes me sick to my stomach, that in this day and age people do this is BS. I've been to Belfast, that's a scary f'in place! My parents were part of a program that brought kids from Belfast to the US for 5-6 weeks so they could have a break from this crap. During that time the girl our family took in, a protestant made friends with a catholic from the program, when the program was over they both knew they probably wouldn't see each other again because if either went to the other's neighborhood they would get beaten up, they were 11 at the time! How sick is that! We visited the family during a trip to Ireland, the girl's immediate family hated that this was still going on, but an uncle was all for it, walking in the neighborhood he showed us murials proudly saying this person killed 25 Catholics (my family being Catholic was pretty freaked out at this point). At the bed & breakfast where we stayed we had to basically hide the plates of our rental car over night because the plates were from "regular Ireland" and people would vandalize the car if they saw it. Is there worse stuff that happens in the world, of course, but this stuff still sickens me none the less.

Why is it that I'm getting by just fine without killing anyone?
And how does one become evil enough to kill a boy?

Because you have resigned to being a loser in life.

Killing the boy is not the goal, but the means to it.

I don't understand how someone can kill a complete stranger in such a brutal fashion. It takes something deeper than just general ignorance towards another religion, but a more hateful sectarrianism that could only have been drilled into the person from a young age. That's what I think, anyway.

That's exactly what it is, much like people still have a blind hatred to another race, certain people in Northern Ireland have a blind hatred towards a different religion because that was how they were brought up, If you're Catholic you don't like Protestants, if you Protestant you don't like Catholics.

Damn. Ireland is really ****ed up. We all know who to blame for that.

Protestants killing Catholics and Catholics killing Protestants is just wrong. As Christians, we need to unify and attack gay stem cells.

I don't who you're talking about, but I nominate the English.

Bingo. The English have been very intolerant of Catholocism for the last 400 years.
