16 year old girl stabs Uber driver to death with machete

So I guess its not just guys that do this stuff. Seems to be

Take it the two earlier rides were with other drivers? Can only imagine how they felt when they heard the news. Jesus.

Uber needs to supply all drivers with a barrier that slodes into the car to seperate customer from driver.

Not to sound like a pessimist but next story we'll be reading is about some deranged elderly woman not letting their passenger out of the vehicle (barriers all over the place) and pulling it into a garage and closing the door with the engine running before walking out simply telling police they forgot about the passenger and left to water some plants...

That was.....oddly detailed.

So a taxi.

Pretty much. Taxi services have been doing this for decades because its a common sense precaution. Uber is being careless. Frankly OSHA needs to crawl all up in Uber and make them put barriers in the cars of their drivers.

News story in this case was the passenger. Perhaps in another separate news story there'll be an issue with the driver.

Uber should implement more safety precautions in response to this story involving the stabbing but should also be cognizant of keeping the passenger safe as well.

If safety devices are implemented to avoid a situation such as the one involving the stabbing, I think what's important is that it won't be possible for a problem to occur in a separate scenario concerning the driver as well.

Edit: This story involving the stabbing is illogical and unlikely to take place. Overall, I think one doesn't feel trapped in the vehicle in any way while driving Uber is I think a plus. The driver needs to be safe from people as well so hopefully something can be done to up the safety potential on both sides.
