Well almost anyways, here's what's still available:

B89: 2 Disc Widescreen Edition
Batman Forever: Fullscreen/Widescreen Edition

that's it, Batman Returns is completley out of print and I'm disregarding B&R Altogether because, honestly, who really gives a rats ass about that particular film?

I own the Fullscreen/Widescreen Editions of B89/Returns/Forever but was looking forward to picking them all up on 2 Disc Widescreen but to my dismay, no Returns or Forever and B89 quickly running low

anyone know if they plan on rereleasing these ever? I can't imagine why WB or DC would let huge blockbusters like the Bat films from the 90's go out of print? If there's money to be made, then why not make it?

I don't know where you got this idea from... but i don't think they are out of print at all!

Your store most likely didn't have them - the DVD's for these movies are all around the world.

Despite this, if i have read you wrong... then, yes, WB will be re-releasing the 90's bat-movies later this year in one, big blu-ray box set.

Because of the Blu-Ray release later this year, I'd assume. Maybe they're trying to create a pre-release buzz like they're doing with Independence Day's Blu-Ray release in May.

I see a ****-load of those DVDs everytime I go to Best Buy. Trust me...its not out of print.

No...but what DID just go out of print was Shirley Walker's "Mask of the Phantasm" score...

CFE

well my stores no longer have them so that sucks and Amazon.com is completley sold out as well and it doesn't look like they'll be receiving any more

are they only re-releasing them on Blu-ray? what about standard and Hi Def?

I'm selling my DVD Anthology when the Blu-Ray is released (as long as it has the same special feature).

HD is dead and they already have standard DVDs

yea but I'm talking about "rereleasing" them

unless standard dvd's are planning on phasing out soon then it would be smart on WB's part to do so

that is of course unless they hate making money

I doubt they're 'out of print' in the strictest terms, I see them everywhere when I go shopping. More likely big stores are pulling back on them in preparation for the blu-ray releases.

but that does nothing for those of us that don't own a "Blu-Ray" player

and I'm pretty sure they are "out of print" in the strictest terms, check your stores in a couple of months and see if they still have the copies you just recently saw. My guess is those will be the last

if Amazon.com isn't ordering any more, I'd say it's a safe bet to assume they are "completley out of print".

and my statement still stands, the WB needs to "repress" these on standard DVD unless they want to LOSE money

not a smart business tactic

I still see them from time to time, Walmart even sells the old 1997 versions too.

Yeah I can go and get 10 copies of the single disc four film boxset right now if I wanted. Trust me, they are no way near 'out of print' especially as they only released them like what, 3-4 years ago? They're out there. Just because Amazon doesn't stock something doesn't mean it's out of print.

I checked today, and my local FYE has like 15 copies of the anthology, and 2 bargain bin copies of the Legacy set.

I guess it's safe to assume that either A) My area sucks or B) there's just a lot of BatFans around here (southern suburbs of Chicago) and ****s selling like hot cakes

if they're not out of print then, I wonder if I can have a store "special order" copies for me if they're not planning on restocking

I think that some stores just have copies left over or something. I mean, they are probably getting them from somewhere, but as far as online purchasing goes, it's out. You can't even order it from the official website.

Yea, it's pretty much official and that's exactly it, the copies these people who replied in this thread are seeing at their stores are "left overs"

Batman, Batman Returns, Batman Forever = OUT OF PRINT

get your copies while you can people, once they're gone, they're gone.

They'll re-print.

DVD's are like books, they don't do one print-run then leave it. My bet is that around the time the blu-rays come out they'll also re-print the DVD's for the people who want the films but not on blu-ray.

Trust me, this isn't the end of the Batman DVD's...

ROFL.
I guess they're trying to erase memories of those crap films.
