Yahooo Lakers Win!!! Kobe with a game winning shot against Denver!!! 1-0 Baby!!!

A few things... Carmello is an awesome scorer but sucks at everything else... I mean really sucks at everything else.

Kenyon Martin has ZERO game... he has no jumpshot.. can't hit FT's and will always be pushed around by the PF's in the West. He's a waste.

Nene is screwed.. this was his contract year and now has to sit out with a torn ACL.

I'm sorry, did Kevin Garnett, Tim Duncan, Tracy McGrady, Allen Iverson and Steve Nash die?

Don't forget Nowitzki, Ginoboli, Paul Pierce, Rip Hamilton, Artest, and Shaq as being the best players in the NBA at the moment.

Ginobili is a nice player but he's not a guy who's gonna carry a team over a season.. he compliments Duncan really well and should be thanking god SA took him.

Shaq is on the downside of his career... year after year he's missing more and more games... he's still a monster but he's not what he was 4 years ago. Or even 2 years ago.

Artest is a top 10 player.. stat wise but he's too uncontrollable to depend on.

Rip is like Manu... is in a team that has a system he thrives on. In Washington he was supposed to be the team leader.... it never happened. He's also lucky to be in Detriot with a group of well balanced players.

Uhhh, no. Most of those players are really good, and some of them stars..but they aren't the main man on their team. Nowitzki and Pierce are bonnafide superstars. Artest is up there as well, but Ginoboli and Hamilton are just really good second options.

A couple of observations from opening week so far:

-The Rockets are gonna be alright, they had a good balance game from all the players (Barry, Swift, Mac and Yao). And yes Yao is getting a bit better so Houston gonna be a problem

-Orlando still sucks and with Grant Hill out for six weeks it's gonna be another long season for Olrando :(

-Pacers got this on lock in 06 in the east

-The Pistons are a beast they played tough as hell against Philly, Rip Hamilton was a beast so I think you can put and Ben in the NBA top 10, yes I do

-Is it just me or do the NBA players look more Hip Hop with the dress code. Look at AI, the baggy tan slacks and wallabe suedes with the leather was a good look on some 90's ****

-Kobe looked focused last night, Lakers should make the playoffs barring clashes with Phil

-Knicks looked ok, there rookies got potential. Shame about the OT collapse but it's a learning experience

It's funny.. cause if you saw Reggie Miller on Tuesday before the game... he was admitting how disfunctional the Pacers were.. hell on Real SPorts he admitted the same thing.

Indiana is deep but Reggie is right... they're not a "team"... and Artest is such a wildcard.. it's tough to say he can last a whole season. JO is injury prone.

Who knows.

The Knicks blew the game on Ariza's messed up DUNK (painful)

And Free Throws.. Curry fine.. but Steph missed a whole bunch... and turnovers... JC needs to take care of the ball better.

Based on what? One game?

Indiana is a better defensive team than Miami and plus your team's chemistry is suspect (Williams, Walker. Payton). On paper Miami could (They Should) take the east but as we have seen from the champions of the past 3 seasons chemistry is vital and Indiana's is much more cohesive than Miami. Plus losing Damon Jones was a back step IMO

Orlando doesn't suck. They had 2 bad years, both of which they were bad in defense but good in offense. They just got a coach that is defense oriented. Losing Grant Hill for 6 weeks is nothing especially if he can play most of the season. Based just on this game, you should've noticed that Dwight Howard is getting the ball more, Steve Francis is turning over the ball less, and Bo Outlaw actually makes a difference. If all you learned was "Orlando sucks" and other ridiculous statements, you didn't watch at all.

and they still lost by double digits lol

Well I'm a Magic fan for 10 years now and this team is gonna be mediocre and suck again. There management find new ways of being mediocre with no progress. Hiring Brian Hill was a stupid move just to appease nostalgic fans of the Shaq and Penny era and there new GM is clueless. Orlando sole mission now is to just win the fans, there's just nothing there other than that. The question is not whether they can make the playoffs (even if they do it's another first round exit) or whether they'll move from Orlando (St. Louis?)

I hope I'm wrong but there's nothing to tell me this team will win more than 40 games :(

So you don't read your own posts? They lost by double digits on their 1st game of the season to the team that you said "got this on lock in 06 in the east".

They can't be worse than last year. They actually could've made it to the playoffs last year and everyone got injured at the same time. Several times last year they had to play bench guys for long minutes, guys they are reluctant to put in any game. Hiring Brian Hill was not stupid and it was their best option. He's their winningest coach and defensive minded which might I remind you again WAS THEIR BIGGEST PROBLEM. Orlando isn't going to move and the suggestion was not to St.Louis, it was to Kansas City. They have far too much interest from local business. Hell, Shaq even wants to either buy the team or have a percentage of the team when he retires. Rich DeVos listens to his kids when they say that they want the team to stay, there was even an article on it a while back in the Sentinel. They have players good enough to make it(as other coaches and GMs have even said) and what they really need to worry about is whether or not their big playmakers will get injured and I don't only mean Grant Hill.

Brian Hill was the Magic's winningest coach because he had Shaquille O' Neal and Penny Hardaway. He did a crap job in Vancouver. Orlando's best coach in terms of working with what little they had was Chuck Daly and then Doc Rivers

whens the last time the knicks won there first game of the season

i am also a knick fan

That's just ridiculous, pretty much every coach is as good as the players they have. Phil Jackson usually had a ready made team. Doc Rivers wasn't always without talent so that doesn't work either. They got a coach that addressed their main problem.
