I know it was. The fact that its turned into a joke is what sucks for them along with the loss:up:

no offence luda but its funny how people laud Jordan for being selfish and winning scoring titles and MVP's...but bash kobe for the same thing:(

Well it's easier for Mike because you know he doesn't drive his teammates out of town and rape a girl who looks like an an extra from a WB show:O

*watches the Kobe Stan get  *:bomb:

Kobe is still better at 27, and he has 7 more years until he'll retire. A lot can happen in 7 years.

But the underlying fact remains while Kobe recieved his awards only while Shaq was there...

pre- championship Mike won his awards and achievements on his own

and as far as kobe/MJ age 25 go

MVP awards
Kobe=0
MJ=1 (88 was that year though lol)

Yeah, Jordan bested Kobe in that respect, but Kobe has 2 MVP postseason/championship awards and Michael didn't have any at that time. True, Kobe had Shaq, but Shaq has never been successful by himself.

First there was Penny, then Kobe, and now Dwayne.
Penny was Batgirl, Kobe was the headstrong Nightwing, and Shaq finally found his perfect Robin in Wade; they still haven't won a Ship though.

Kobe has a better chance than Shaquille to win one IMO. He has time to develop w/ a team. Shaq only has 1 or 2 years of dominance left, and I don't see Miami beating Detroit in the Eastern conference games, and then beating a western team. It's too much for them.

MJ has one MVP, but if Kobe wins it this year, they'll tie, and it will only help him in his career. I guarantee you he'll win an MVP at some point. I don't think he will six times, but I would say two.

Allegedly

Not the first to do it

Still has it, but he's rich so who cares; he's an adult and he can spend his money however he wishes.

He ate European guards for breakfast, lunch, and dinner; oh well.

Kobe > Lebron (currently. This will undoubtedly change)
Kobe > LA Lakers
MJ > Kobe Happy?

Best guard in the game right now: Kobe

The fact that we are even comparing Kobe and Michael proves that. If I mentioned Ray Allen, Tracy Mcgrady, or Michael Finley, you would most definitely laugh at me. They're great players, but if they were in Kobe's situation, the LA Laker's team would play worse than the Bobcats.

The bit I highlighted there only further proves you should stop watching the game althogether lol
Ray Allen and Micheal Finley rock Jordan brands, Mike co-signs them :)
and who said T-Mac is that dude :)

Snitching on your teammate while being interrogated= first and very gay

1st, it was a joke. Batman is King, but Nightwing was the rebel. It was joke; go w/ it. Its intention wasn't serious. You took offense, so uh. . . I'm sorry.

Cry on Kobe-hater.
icon7.gif
And NO, I don't live at home. I have my own place, so my mother dearest comes nowhere near my bigscreen. . . Myyyyyy prreecciousssss. . . You have reason to speak, Detroit is the best in the league. My dad's from Michigan, and he's a Detroit fan. If I can put up w/ his junk when I see him, I can take stuff from other Detroit fans. When it's the NBA, he's for Detroit. In College football-he loves Michigan. In hockey-Red Wings. Funny thing though: He disowned the Lions. Go figure?? He's not a fairweather fan either, but he hates that organization; I think it's because of what they did to Barry Sanders.

Oh well, back on topic: Kobe is the MVP right now; His only legitimate competition is Steve Nash. Chauncey Billups is nowhere near those two. He has two Wallaces, a Tayshaun, and one of the best two-guards in the game: Rip.
Remember: MVP is the award for a player who is most important to their team.

Right and Chauncey is the PG so he's most important to his team, logic tells you therefore that if your that on the best and dominant team
I dont really care about other teams in the D, **** to tell the truth I'm not even a die hard Pistons fan, I just love the NBA and I dont take it seriously when people diss a player I like (unlike some homotional stans) so I dont care if you built a shield of resistance from Michigan sports fans or whatever it is you do with all that spare time lol
I know you aint just try to sound like gollum....wild ghey
Oh another thing, Nightwing=Dicky Grayson, when Dick Grayson was Robin he ran around with no pants on.........When Kobe runs around Colorado he got no pants on! lol stop trying to follow the dude with no pants b, you killin your rep right now lol

yeah. . . that was a good one . . .:( . . .low but a good one. . .:(
Chauncey should be in consideration, but on a team as stacked as Detroit, I don't see him winning. He has the best teammates in the league. Steve Nash has good teammates but they're nothing w/out his direction.
How great do you think LAL are w/out Kobe?

I did make a gollum reference: wild ghey? Not really. I'm a pretty nonchalant guy. I'm too calm to ever really stress over B-ball or a lot of other things. There are many more important issues, but B-ball is fun recreational viewing for me.

Oh and about my rep. I don't have one. I don't need it. They're useless, and I'm not a 'false pretense' type of person. Reps are for people who want to have a certain image, and I will never be associated w/ those types. They're shallow, and ridiculous. Maybe Kobe fits into this category, but I just watch for the love of the sport.

chauncey wont get it..too many intregal parts...cat is doing his thing though dont get me wrong..... its d town is viewed as a WHOLE not the sum of its parts...... where as nash and kobes are being recognized for carrying their teams ...... exactly. Right now, they're screaming two names: Nash and Kobe. They are full of crap, but they vote for the MVP.

If Detroit dominates the league and one of there players doesn't win the MVP something's wrong.

agreed but it happened last year...and the years when the lakers dominated....so it wont be the first time...

They cancel each other out. Chauncey would have a better case if Rip wasn't on the team. This is an individual reward. If you have exceptional teammates, you're less likely to win because its about who is MOST important to the team. If Chauncey was not on Detroit, they would still have a winning record. If Nash was not on Phoenix, they would probably stay around .500. If Kobe wasn't on LAL, they'd be the worst team in the league.

A lot of people dont know that Jordan not only hit the GW shot on Utah in the Finals he got the steal from Karl Malone prior to the shot on the other end. Theres a man that dominates both sides of the court. and he's a guard!

he always could control both sides of the court, against the knicks jordan gets the lay up, steals the in bounds pass and the X man steals it back, and has the wide open lay up and jordan got the clean block from behind, he could just hurt you on either side, kobe can't do that, but the torch has been passed and without a doubt kobe he is the best player in the NBA right now

kobe is pretty much a team all on his own, he doesn't pass the ball and takes every shot he possibly can even in coverage, that says a lot about how much he trusts his team when he trusts his shot with a hand in his face more than the shots from the rest of his team which might not be as tightly guarded as him
