Don't exclude that Seattle/Phoenix game! 152-149 w/ the buzzer-beater by Ray Allen in double overtime. It was the highest scoring game in 11 years.

Oh and that Double OT game between Suns and Sonics 152-149 with Ray Allen hitting the game winning shot?!

No Question last night was the best night in the NBA like ever...

Single greatest individual performance even seen in the NBA and we actually have the footage to prove it happened. Kobe Bryant 81 freakin points

Precisely what I mean. The only person who has scored more is Wilt Chamberlain who scored 100 points. According to MJ' s theory, a guard has a more difficult time scoring. He has ball duties, and plays defense in a much larger area, in addition to scoring on offense. An exhorbitant amount of energy is required. What Kobe did was incredible. He scored 81 points, and he still played defense, and he had a few assists. It was the best sole performance I've ever seen, and I've witnessed a lot of them: live and on ESPN classic.

The only other player who has a chance to do that is Tracy Mcgrady, but he has average defensive skills. Maybe Lebron will do this same thing one day.

a few is more then 2 Kobe had 2 assists.

how many assists did MJ have when he scored 69??? how many did wilt have when he scored 78? 73? 100?....cant judge him by assists....when your carrying a team you're doing just that...CARRYING....

when Jordan did his he wasn't even in his prime and did on Bird and his team which is someething very very very hard to do. Now you mean to tell me Kobe could do the same to that team??? I dont think so.

Michael Jordan scored 63 in that game against Larry Bird and the Celtics. His high of 69 was on the Clevland Cavaliers in his prime, correct?

Aside from that, Larry Bird and the Celtics weren't known for their defensive skill. They were an offensive team like Phoenix. They could play defense, but it wasn't their specialty.

too cut 19 pts off his total against birds celtics yeah i think its possible.... still didnt answer how many assists he had???????

kobes 27...is that his prime???? when did jordan when his first ring????? not at 27 i can tell you that....

i believe this to be a true statement.... and lebron wasnt on the cavs at the time either:o

you are right and here was his stats from that game

http://partners.nytimes.com/library/sports/basketball/032990bkn-jordan.html

Jordan made 23 of 37 field-goal attempts and 21 of 23 foul shots. He also had a career-high 18 rebounds, plus 6 assists and 4 steals.

Now out of that Jordan still passed the ball four more times then Kobe pulled more rebounds then him and had one more steal then him.

jordan also had pippen..ho grant .... steve kerr... john paxson..... ron harper..id take anyone of those over any of the lakers now...tell me those cats aint gonna hit a shot.... do the box scores tell you how many times kobe passed it??? or how many times his TEAMMATES MADE IT?????

Jordan could have passed the ball more then that. The assist just tells you when they made the basket off of the player passing the ball. Jordan has more faith in his team then Kobe before Pippen and even now when he was with washington. Jordan understands there is no I in team Kobe has yet to learn that. I am not taking anything away from him I just think he needs to work more with his team. I mean he is a great player but if you guys really want to start wining games he has to help out his team instead because he is going to be there for a while and most of the players in the NBA doesn't care to much for him in order to get a great team for the Lakers either Kobe is going to have to change the way he plays and share the ball or your going to have to trade him.
