I'm not worried... the teams struggling with the new system... and as anyone watching noticed.. Crawford had a better game starting than coming off the bench. Q needs to hit some shots... he's slumping... Steph is still adjusting to the changes in his play and it's kinda weird watching him miss free throws. No one said it was gonna be easy but it's still a long season.

LOL.. I'm still optimistic.

I blame Brown's confusion with the rotation as much as their free throw shooting. JC was hitting his shots in the 3rd and got yanked for no reason.. he could have milked him until he stopped hitting his jumpers. When he puts the 3 rookies and Ariza.. yeah they make some mistakes but good things happen.... as they showed against GS and during stretches against the Blazers. What the Knicks need to do is dump Malik Rose or put him on the IL for the season. He's garbage and everytime they sub him in they just look lost.

Sad.............:(

from your point of view...

I'm supporting my team... and sure they're not winning but I'll be damned if I drop them 2 weeks into the season. None of you will ever get the satisfaction of me griping about losses so don't bother waiting.

Looks like the Bulls may be on their way to getting a high lottery draft pick from NY.

Clippers in first Place!!!

ATLANTA (AP) -- The Los Angeles Clippers have their best start after six games in 20 years, and they are dreaming of an even better finish.

"We want to be one of the top teams in the West, and we think we are," Elton Brand said after he scored 23 points to lead the Clippers past the winless Atlanta Hawks 102-95 Thursday night.

"The sky is the limit right now," said Sam Cassell, who added 21 points as the Pacific Division-leading Clippers moved to 5-1 for the first time since the 1985-86 season.

Asked if he was surprised by the strong start, Cassell said: "I've been saying it all year. It's not surprising me."

The Hawks, meanwhile, have lost their first five games for the first time since the 2000-01 season, when they started 0-7.

The Hawks stayed close but didn't lead after the first quarter.

"I thought we were on the verge, but a loss is a loss," said Joe Johnson, who led the Hawks with 24 points and set a season high with 10 rebounds.

Johnson said the Hawks "don't know how to win."

"It's tough right now," Johnson said. "We're in a nasty funk. Somehow, someway, we have to find a way to get a victory."

Coach Mike Dunleavy said his Clippers were wary of overlooking the Hawks, especially after also beating Atlanta 92-77 Saturday in Los Angeles.

"I was really worried about this game, obviously, playing a team that has not won yet," Dunleavy said. "I knew they were going to come out and play hard. They gave a great effort and the longer you let them stay around, hang around, the more confidence builds, the more opportunity they have to win."

Added Dunleavy: "They're a young team but I expected us to win because we have more talent than they do."

Corey Maggette, playing in his second game since returning from a strained left hamstring, added 17 points in only 25 minutes.

The Hawks were held to 41 percent shooting from the field, including 1-for-9 on 3-point attempts. The Clippers made 48 percent of their shots.

Atlanta's Zaza Pachulia also had a double-double with 16 points, 13 rebounds and a team-leading six assists. Al Harrington added 14 points and rookie Marvin Williams had 12.

Maggette scored 20 points in Wednesday night's win at Washington, coming off the bench with 10 points in the second and fourth quarters. Again he came off the bench against Atlanta to score 10 in the second quarter as the Clippers led 50-47 at halftime.

The Clippers' biggest lead of the first half was 39-29.

The Clippers maintained the lead but couldn't pull away. After leading 75-69 at the end of the third quarter, the Clippers' biggest lead in the final period was 12 points.

"We're 5-1 but we're not happy," Brand said. "We didn't play to the best of our ability."

Brand had seven rebounds, missing a chance to set a franchise record with his 182nd double-double with the Clippers. Brand shares the mark with Loy Vaught.

"He's on a nice little roll," Hawks coach Mike Woodson said. "You have to pick your times when you double him. ... He's a load. He's a career double-double since he's been in the league. He makes it tough for a lot of teams."

the rockets need some time to get together, and most importantly they need t-mac.

with that said, yao is one of, if not the best center in the league now.

Detroit is the only undefeated team in the league now - they beat Phoenix last night for a 5-0 start............I'm sure they'll drop their next game.......

Yeah I doubt that, we were supposed to lose last night. If we were going to lose a game, it woulda been to Phoenix. We're playing Portland tonight, so we'll see. I hope they dont lose. 6-0 sounds a lot better then 5-1

According to todays NY post the Knicks are looking to deal Marbury :/

Yeah he does but if we trade Steph I wonder who we'll be getting in return? I see JC getting traded first

that's just plain stupid to deal steph, especially this early in the season..... I love Zeke but he has to stop with these trades... all this moving around will never allow the team to stablize.

God everyone's in damn panic mode and it's just 2 weeks in.

if they do trade him... I wanna tear the team down and keep getting younger. I like our nucleus of Nate, Lee, Frye, Curry and Ariza. They're all 21 or 22.

Man oh man, like I said... 6-0 sounds damn good. Portland got smoked in the last couple minutes. Detroit is clearly a 4th quarter team. It usually comes down to the stretch, but when thats the case... Pistons will almost always come out with the win.

6-0 baby, westcoast sweep

It's Brown who is demanding it. Peter Vecey was on ESPN radio yesterday morning and he said Brown is wanting to completely re-vamp the locker room again...LMAO, he isn't liking the type of players he has.

They are playing bad now, imagine if they revamp this team through out the season. That pick the Bulls got from them is getting higher and higher. Not to mention Sweetney is actually playing better than Curry did here.

Meh, lol...that's not saying much. Yao actually is still a weak sh1t. He just doesn't have that physical or mental toughnes.. especially for being 7'5"..he should be averaging close to 30 a game, EASILY. Yao is never going to be a dominate player. Just a really good player. He isn't a pitbull, he doesn't have that tough mental psyche. He looked weak out against the Heat, and was visibly tired playing against and old and weary Alonzo Mourning. His pathetic butt scored like 4 points in the last 10 minutes of the game... that is pathetic. Especially when he is the team's main option now that T-Mac is out. :down

I think Shaq is the best center ever.

Did anyboy catch that interview with Alan Iverson on Quite Frankly.

I thought it was great, hes a very cool guy.

just because he's 7 foot 6 inches tall doesn't mean he'll drop 30 on you every night.

he's clearly capable of it, and the reason he only scored 4 pts. late in the game was because he didn't have the ball in his hand, quite simply.

also, he does need to work on his stamina, and he never will be an agressive player, but he IS mentally tough. those two things are very different.

20 pts., 10 boards, 3 block shots per game is good stat sheet.

he CAN be a dominate center, because he's shown flashes of dominating the offensive side of the ball, but he has to play more minutes, shoot more shots and develop better instincts on the court.

No, he definetely should..especiLLY A 7'6" man w/ his skill level. There is no excuse...as Charles Barkely said. Especially with McGrady being out, and the entire offense running through him.

he's clearly capable of it
Anyone is capable of scoring 30. I meant doing it on a consistent basis.
and the reason he only scored 4 pts. late in the game was because he didn't have the ball in his hand, quite simply.
Because he couldn't get into position because he is weak and out of shape.

also, he does need to work on his stamina, and he never will be an agressive player, but he IS mentally tough. those two things are very different.
I know they're different...that's why I mentioned both. Did you not see Yao get dominated by Shawn Bradely in the playoffs? lol.. If he had a strong mind fram and mentality it would be more aggressive and focused. Yao is weak mentally compared to other players.

20 pts., 10 boards, 3 block shots per game is good stat sheet.
Yeah, but a) games aren't won on stat sheets and b) that doesn't tell the whole story. He has 16 points in the first half, then only 4 in the second half and none during crutial stretches where they need buckets to win the game. A decent stat sheet is nothing. Many players can give you that or better. Hell, Elton Brand does better numbers than that on average. :o

he CAN be a dominate center, because he's shown flashes of dominating the offensive side of the ball
That's called potential. He doesn't have the toughness to be dominate. He is weak and fragile. No mean streak in him, and to be a great one you have to play mean.

but he has to play more minutes, shoot more shots and develop better instincts on the court.
Most of that ties into mental toughness. Having the ability to get yourself in proper shape to play the whole game? mental toughness... Shoot more shots? Agressivness that stems from character makeup and you guessed it mental toughness. etc. etc. Yao will always remain a good player. he will NEVER be in the elites with the Hakeems, Shaqs, Chamberlains, Ewings etc.

Well I'm happy with what Curry has done so far.. sure he's had his bad moments but he's picked up his free throw % and he's getting in better shape game by game.

Last night against Sac was how I hoped they could play consistantly... Q hit his shots.. Steph looked to pass... the rookies contributed... Ariza was f**king amazing. JC played under control.

I'm soooo hoping last night was a step forward cause they played really well. Amazingly their defense has been solid and their offense is the one needing improvement.

And for those Knick fans who hated Frye at 8... please shut your mouth. 10 points 6 rebounds through 6 games..

Curry is still weak as hell. Just look at the rebounding averages... and just for a word of advice, Curry wil NEVER be in shape. Trust me. I watched him for the past 4-5 years. Ontop of that he was with the Bulls, who have the most demanding and upscale training process to get in shape in the entire League..and Curry still never cut it. I mean I would love for the kid to have a good career, but he just doesn't have any work ethic to be anything more than an average player.

JC played under control.
This won't happen to often...

Possibly, but we have to see if they keep it up...which looks doubtful.

WTF is up with Marbury's freethrows:confused: he was an 83% shooter from the line last season
