I still believe Chauncey is an MVP candidate and the last few games have proven it. Even KG thinks Billups is the MVP

Read an NBA report he's already getting recognition (espn.com and NBA on ESPN and TNT are talking that he's having a MVP season) Chauncey's ball handling in transistion and taking over in the 4th quarter have cause Detroit to play fluidly. Take him out and they lose. Ben can get rebounds and block still sure, but Sheed doesn't get his jumpers open, RIP doesn't get his free breaks, maybe Tayshaun gets his defense stops but Billups is organising the transistion back on D so he might not get it.
I mean Kobe's had like a good month and a half but Billups has been consistent and running since training camp.
People just unsure cause he doesn't look like an MVP candidate but he's playing like one. And give this man his first All-Star appearnce too

I don't think he's won the MVP just yet. The second half of the season has to occur, and all the candidates have to play, and avoid injury. He's definitely in the running though; he's right up there w/ Nash and Bryant.

BAH HUMBBUG! said:Yeah but look at who votes for the MVP of the league. Tha AP, sure some of those voters are at ESPN, but only a few.
Super_Ludacris said:They will vote for Billups, the AP is not that stupid there the one's covering the Pistons drive for 70, so if anything chauncey will stand out even more

but i beleive the mainstream will say its no necessarily billups rather a competent point guard that can be interchanged...(dont shoot me i defintly dont agree with that logic, but im sure thats out there)
Super_Ludacris said:True although I believe to find a gaurd with that kinda ballhandling defense/offense transistion fluidity is such a rare commoditty. It's like saying if you put any 7ft all position foward on the Spurs or the Wolves they would still be the same without Timmay and KG
Stringer said:Still not enough help for KG. I hope he requests a trade to a contender soon, he deserves a ring.
