Christ. That was painful to watch. The change in scenery couldn't be more timely. The boys are going to have to find a better way to execute the offense. Gotta go all in for Game 3.

My Mavs once agian dominating the game, who said Dallas doesn't play defense?

I knew Miami HAD to win game 1 for the best chance. After they lost, I knew that if they didn't win game 2 it was going to be over...it's over FOR SURE!!! Time to move onto NFL training camp:)

...now if the Cowboys can just get back to the Superbowl.....DALLAS BABY!!!!!!!!!!!

It's still not over yet. To win in Miami is going to be very complicated and the crowd is going to be jazzed up, as is the Miami players too, so I refuse to get cocky or say that it's over for the Miami Heat.

2-0 is really not a big margin in the playoffs. So we'll see what happens this Tuesday.

True, it's not over yet but If Maimi is going to win they need to be more aggressive and Shaq needs to take more than five shots. It's not going to be an easy win for Detriot. I think people are starting to see that Dallas is better than some thought.

I am very happy that Dallas won. I've waited for the day that they would actually compete for a championship and actually win one, now it appears it may come true at this point.

However, anything is possible and I expect the Heat to come out strong on Tuesday. It's not over yet until it becomes 4-0, 4-1, 4-2, or 4-3. The Mavs are 2-0 at this point and that's nothing in the playoffs.

I'm keeping my ego in check until the fat lady sings.

I agree. But They were throwing double teams and Shaq quite often, If other players on Miami would give them some offense besides Wade, it would take some pressure off Shaq and open oppourtunities for him to score IMO.

No doubt, I see exactly what you are saying. If Dallas win in Maimi it's gonna be a tough win especially with that crowd . One last thing Maimi bench has to step up, too many open shots have been missed and the missed free throws are hurting them.

WRONG. I was for Miami, but it's definitely over. This is 2 years ago all over again for Shaq and Gary Payton! Same story, except this time the "older team with a young superstar and a weak bench" can't keep up with the high powered offense (as opposed to the shutdown defense of detroit)... It'll be over in 5 for sure.

You are my new best friend. Go Mavs! Go Cowboys!

Yes! T.O. did the Sunday interview on SportsCenter...and he didn't come off like a heel!! ....Redemption, please!

Well that was ugly. I can't believe how easy Dallas is making this look. They weren't at their best in game 1 and they pulled off a double digit win and now Miami has one of their worst games all year to dig an 0-2 hole. Damn. Well if there's anything to take away from this here it is: Detriot was in the same position last year and pulled even with the Spurs. Miami just needs to pick their game up all around. You have Wade missing shots he normally makes (don't know how much his illness has to do with it), Shaq is looking more like Dikembe Mutombo, Walker is scoring baskets when the Heat's down 25, and so on...it just isn't working. They need to turn it around ASAP and win atleast 2 out of the 3 at home which is no easy task against a Dallas team that has everything going right for them.

Miami has been tough to beat at home in the playoffs. They're 9-1 at the "other" American Airlines building, so they couldn't be happier to head home after those 2 awful games in Dallas. Overcoming an 0-2 defecit may be improbable but it isn't impossible. They just better get their act together because if not then Dirk is going to be celebrating on Miami's home floor.

dirk is going to be a legend one day.. the new larry bird

It was a depressing game too watch. It upset me that by halftime, i knew the game was over. As easy as it sounds, the Heat have to find some way to pound the ball in to shaq. His attempts are waaaay too low for him to be such a dominant player. And with walker in the starting line-up, it makes the Heat bench weaker. If i were riley, i'd have posey start and walker come off the bench, similar to what dallas is doing with stackhouse. And with haslem hurt, they need to focus on an inside-outside game where SOMEONE can at least hit a three every now and then to make dallas afraid to double shaq or wade. I know at the beginning of this series i said it comes down to the supporting cast, but i was under the impression that Shaq would at least be getting his regular 25 a game. I'm still here for my team, though. It ain't over until last buzzer. This team is too good to go out like this.

Now you know how we felt when Walker was on our team. :p

LMAO!!! He was a good solid 20/10 player not too long ago, but i don't consider him a great starter for this line-up. Posey is a good defender, plus his three point % is better than walker's. But the main difference is their personalities. Posey knows that he is role player and won't try and take the game into his own hands. He'll stick with the game plan, feed shaq the ball inside, if he kicks it out, take the shot and follow it up. Walker will try to make a shot for himself, which is okay if you're not on a team that has shaq in the middle or dwayne wade or jason williams at the perimeter. These are guys that can create shots for themselves and for others. Walker's style would be great to come of the bench and be the Heat's go to option with shaq or wade out.

The other players acquired during the offseason are doing fine. Williams is a major upgrade over Damon Jones, Posey's been good, but Walker has been on and off all year. It's one thing to acquire the guy via trade and give him a test run on the team as a bench player and now as a starter, but they signed him to a 5 or 6 year deal. BOO!

Maybe some one can answer this for me. Why (especially in this series) hasn't Riley put ZO in the PF position along with Shaq in C?

My friend asked me that the other day and I replied its hard enough for the heat to keep with the mavs with just shaq in the lineup let alone Zo. And besides if you put zo in there with shaq one of them has to guard Nowitki and none of them can guard him one on one.
