    Hello, my fellow sports fanatics!

    Welcome to the 2007 Hype! Sports Awards Extravaganza!

    In this thread I will name certain categories that you can send me votes for via PM. We're voting for the funniest, dumbest, etc. events and posters that participate regularly in the SHH! Sports threads (NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, and NCAA Football/Basketball).

    But I do need someone's help: I am looking for a person good with Photoshop, so someone can make basic but funny trophies for the awards.

    Here are the categories: Votes are due to me by December 21.

    2. Funniest Sports Poster
    3. Most Intelligent Sports Poster
    4. Dumbest Sports Poster
    5. Sports Newbie of the Year
    6. Funniest Sports Thread
    7. Dumbest Sports Thread
    8. Best Sports Team of 2007
    9. Worst Sports Team of 2007
    10. Most Improved Sports Poster
    11. Hype! Sports Lifetime Achievement (vote for someone who's been around a long time, that's contributed a ton to the sports threads)
    12. Most Hated Sports Team of 2007
    13. Most Loved Sports Team of 2007

    In this thread, you can discuss certain awards, but just don't give out your own ballot and winners.

    Why do I get the feeling people will vote Yankees as Worst Sports Team because they are the Yankees. It should be like the Cubs for a 99 year drought or like Tampa Bay for having the most loses last year.

    I demand Soccer thread to be included on that list! O who am I kidding... only 4 people here care about that sport and only 3 cared enough to post in that thread (minus Showtime *disappointed*).

    The English translation of that is still Football. It's a game that ACTUALLY uses the feet to control the ball. I love both versions of football so don't make me choose!
