At least I'm not like Halcohol, "Oh, everyone is out to get Calgary. Everyone but me is a critic. :whatever:"

Yeah that Halcohol is a docuhe. :cwink: This is what the playoffs are about. Opposing fans hating each other.

Ottawa played their best playoff series ever. And having the few pundits who went for the Penguins or the Leaf fans that adopted the Penguins; vicariously cheering them on believing they were destined to win the Cup only to see them lose, makes it a much more enjoyable victory.

I had a feeling this was gonna go to six games, if the Wings don't pull this one off.

If we get out of this series alive, I'll be happy with whatever results from thereon.

Holland should stay. I think Babcock should, too.

Holland should stay. I think Babcock should, too.

It could be the 4th quarterfinal round elimination in the past 6 playoffs. They did win the Cup during that span but were also first in their division and in the top tier of teams each season.

Yeah, but Holland has brought them three rings. Babcock is only in his second year.

Yeah, but Holland has brought them three rings. Babcock is only in his second year.

Do you know how many more years Holland has in his contract? Jim Rutherford just got 5 years in Carolina which I think is stupid. 3 year contract should be enough in the parity filled NHL. You don't want to turn into the Flyers.

Maybe the refs will help Calgary in game 5 at the Joe. They're gonna need it.

Just kinda iffy calls BOTH WAYS for this game and game 3. I hope Babcock just rips into his team. Honestly, this should have been a sweep.

That wasn't about Calgary, that was about it being fashionable to rag on the officiating. I ref hockey, so I get it all the time.

Sure some of those calls were iffy, but at least they're being consistent. That's the way the calls have been going all season throughout the league. I don't know about that unsportsmanlike conduct penalty against Hasek... it was obvious he was trying to draw a penalty but he WAS interfered with. I would've given them both penalties.

I'm glad Calgary was keeping the sticks down and staying out of the box, though. We can't afford to keep giving the Wings any better opportunities than they already have. Bertuzzi played pretty well tonight, I'll give him that. Not quite as good as Langkow, but still. ;)

This series is gonna go to seven games, and I'm gonna love every minute of it!

How much did you guys pay the refs? I need a ballpark estimate for game 5.

Oh, and you changed your avatar when the Flames tie the series? Nice...

Actually, I was wearing this one for the past couple days. I only changed it to the logo when I saw you complaining ;)

I don't much blame you. By all rights the Wings should've wiped us off the face of the planet by now. I didn't even pick any Flames in my playoff hockey pool because as big a fan as I am, I'm not an idiot.

Couldn't believe how mad I was tonight... just probably for the fact that this has happened too much. :csad:

Man, this city is LIT UP right now. If it wasn't raining slush outside the Red Mile would be a party and a half. As empowering as it is knowing that the fans play such a huge role in the Flames mentality at home, it's kind of depressing knowing they can't muster the same intensity on the road. :(

Hell yeah, the Stars beat the Canucks. Right on.

Well, it's been a homer-series, all the way through this year.

Yeah, but it's so weird. No other team in the league is even close in the same disparity between home and away records... everyone blames Playfair for his coaching, but I don't know. He's obviously doing SOMETHING right, but maybe he needs to lay down the law Babcock-style.

I was noticing tonight that I've never once seen him smile. Strange.

I didn't even know they had a newer coach.

Yeah, Sutter was on double-duty as GM and coach for the last couple seasons, but he stepped down as coach this year and hired Playfair. The big thing to do for the last few months is to hate on him for his coaching, saying that only Sutter knows how to really motivate his players.
