the sharks know all about the "goonery" of the flames,dion phaneuf,robyn regehr,and while jarome iginla a great player he's the biggest goon on the team. What he did in game 5 was disgusting.The love Andrei Zyuzin and jeff frissen though..well they were ex sharks.
He should have been suspended (Iginla). He's the captain of the team for God's sake, and his play in Game 5 not only says, "This is how Jarome Iginla plays," it also says, "This is how the Calgary Flames play." 
I loved Bertuzzi's hit in Game 5. Those ****ers deserved it.
I had some respect for the Flames before this series, but I've lost all respect for them, except Kiprusoff. He saved that team, and it reminded me of Cujo vs. them in 2004. Cujo played so damn good in that OT game, but the Wings couldn't score jack against them. Mad props for Mikka.
I loved Bertuzzi's hit in Game 5. Those ****ers deserved it.
I had some respect for the Flames before this series, but I've lost all respect for them, except Kiprusoff. He saved that team, and it reminded me of Cujo vs. them in 2004. Cujo played so damn good in that OT game, but the Wings couldn't score jack against them. Mad props for Mikka.

Well, I said I wasn't gonna watch it, but I did... the Canucks eliminated the Stars in a penalty-filled game 7. That effectively eliminates all of my Western Conference players from my hockey pool and makes me put all my faith into Scott Gomez 
Now for the Conference Semi-Finals, we're looking at:

Ducks, Sharks, Sabres, Senators and Canucks have never won the Stanley Cup.

The winner of the Devils/Senators should be the team that represents the East in the Finals. The Sabres need to get their act together, they did not look great at all against the Islanders and it very well could've gone seven games. Right now the 3 other Eastern teams look stronger.
The Ducks can score and if they can stop the Sedins (and Naslund plays like he has) than the Canucks are toast. Luongo needs to somehow top his first round performance if they they want to advance. After going 7 games plus all the overtime they played in the series, that could hurt them with a rested Ducks team.
Sharks and Red Wings meet again. The Sharks always make it into the 2nd round but and only once to the conference finals and the Red Wings have never gotten past the 2nd round since they won the Cup in '03. The Sharks just have the fire power to get past Hasek. Calgary was never going to win by only getting 21 shots on Hasek after 5 periods in game 6! Sharks should squeeze bye.
I've never seen anyone suspended for what Iginla did. They $100,000 fine and the embarrassment was enough.

But the Sharks never saw Bert or Calder with us. We're more physical now.

1. Hasek is horrible handling the puck. How many TOs of Hasek's will the Sharks score on? Hasek did not hold up well when he saw a lot of rubber.
2. Don't discount the wings d defense, it does have the edge. Lebda injured. Will the injury make a difference? Schneider was weak against an aggressive forecheck.
3. They do have grit; Bert, Franzen, Cleary, Maltby and Holmstrom. I think the Sharks are stronger than the Wings, but the Wings have clearly improved in this area.(not by much)
4. Draper has fallen off a bit. He is not the stopper that he once was. Datsyuk's defense is underrated.
5. Will the refs continue to call? Lidstrom, Draper and a few others do go by the old rules. There was a real difference for this team depending on the refs.
6. Will the Wings continue their erratic play. They were strong at home and looked as if they didn't care at times on the road. The Sharks didn't have the home/road differential but there were times that I questioned the motivation for both teams.

Slinger, they won the Cup in 2002.
And Nabakov is no Kipper. His weak spot is right stick-side. Many Wings players can get past that. If we fire 50 shots per game at him, we can get 4-5 goals.

Only Broduer would stay in net after allowing 4 goals on 9 shots.
