I'll post another three round mock a few days before the draft. Here's an updated top 10.

1. Detroit Lions -QB Matthew Stafford: The Lions should already be planning to select Stafford at #1. If they're thinking about Smith, they may have second thoughts when they look at their QB chart.

2. St. Louis Rams -OT Jason Smith: Smith is the best OT in the draft and should provide protection for Bulger who was sacked plenty of times last season.

3. Kansas City Chiefs -LB Aaron Curry: They could select Monroe here, but Curry is too good to pass up.

4. Seattle Seahawks -OT Eugene Monroe: Monroe offers great pass protection. This would be good in Seattle with Hasselback/Houshmanzada.

5. Cleveland Browns -WR Michael Crabtree: With Dontae Stallworth in trouble, the Browns need a WR for Quinn/Anderson to throw too.

6. Cincinatti Bengals -OT Michael Oher: The Bengals need help on the offensive line. They need to protect Palmer so he can stay healthy.

7. Oakland Raiders -DE Brian Orakpo: Raiders need a pass rusher for the defense. WR could also be looked at here.

8. Jacksonville Jaguars -WR. Darrius Heyward Bey: With the release of Matt Jones, Garrard needs someone to throw to. DHB is the perfect choice. Mark Sanchez could be looked at here.

9. Green Bay Packers -DT B.J Raji: Raji is a great pick here. The Packers had a lot of injuries on the defensive line last season

10. San Francisco 49ers -QB Mark Sanchez: There's no doubt in my mind if Sanchez is available here the 49ers take him. They need a franchise QB and it would be good since he comes out of a pro-style offense.

If the Broncos wanted Stafford that badly they could've just dealt Cutler to the Lions for the #1 overall.

It reported that The Lions were heavily shopping the number 1 pick. The article I read said the overall agreement is none of the players are worth the contract that comes with being the top pick.

Of course the Lions are shopping the number 1 pick, but no one wants it. No one.

Intresting mock draft from fox that Norman's not gonna like:
http://profootball.scout.com/2/853317.html

He does have an interesting theory that denver will make a big move to get a franchise qb.

I love how paid experts are so completely clueless.

All anyone has to do is look at the coaches involved to see how that doesn't make any sense at all. Scott Linehan is a vertical passing offensive coordinator, his sort of offense works best with a big armed QB. Stafford is the embodiment of that sort of QB. Sanchez's skill set lends itself to a West Coast offense team, which is why I think Seattle will take him.

Also there is no way Denver is going to trade up to get a Franchise QB. Josh McDaniels turned Matt Cassell into a super productive QB - he is not going to invest picks needed on that defense to draft a first round QB.

That guy has no idea what he is talking about, and is getting paid for it :lmao:

I think the smartest thing they could go with #1 is trade it for more picks.

That is the smartest thing they could do. But it takes two teams to do that and no one is going to trade anything for the number one pick.

McShay has an updated mock draft (Picks 1-16).

Mock_Draft

I don't think Sanchez will fall past San Fransisco. And Beanie Wells to New Orleans?

Ugh.

Again, that mock draft just doesn't make sense. And people actually have to pay just to read it! Amazing.

Denver will not draft Mark Sanchez. And the only way New Orleans gets Wells is if they are able to trade down in the first round in exchange for some extra picks. They only have four in this draft.

Here's the full mock Norman.

Giants- Larry English, DE/LB, Northern Illinois
Titans- Hakeem Nicks, WR, North Carolina

Some picks just astound me.

Why in blue hell would New Orleans EVER draft Wells in round 1?

Just to add to that:

Chris Wells-RB- Player Apr. 6 - 12:36 pm et

Rick Gosselin of the Dallas Morning News expects the Saints to use the No. 14 overall pick on a linebacker or cornerback, not an offensive player.

Gosselin, who annually produces one of the best mocks in the business, points out that New Orleans has only four draft picks this year and just one in the first three rounds. Drafting Chris Wells 14th would be pretty shocking.

Wells will end up in either Phily or Airzona. Thats almost certain. Wells in Phily would be such a beast.

Also, I don't think Wells will be in Philadelphia simply because I think they want to draft a top OT prospect. I think they end up not making two picks in the first round, which would eliminate Wells.

Seattle has much bigger needs; Houston wont go rb in round 1, not after slatons year. That would be idiotic. I see Wells to Phily at 28.

Wow. McShay's mock is horrible. Wells to the Saints? Seriously? The 49er's passing on Sanchez? Seriously? The broncos taking Sanchez?! Seriously?! Why would the Giants take a DL when they need a big time WR??? Mcshay's Mock has some good points like Seattle taking an OT and not Sanchez, but ugh, most of the list is horrible.

Just a random note, I think if Moreno is still on the board at 20, I think the Lions will be tempted to take him even though they need defense and some help on the O-line.

Seattle has several needs, but they don't have a starting RB. If they are able to trade down to acquire some picks, Wells is a real option. Especially if a team like Philadelphia is a trade partner.

Slaton had a great rookie year, but they need another running back. With the signing of Smith and June, the Texans filled in their two biggest holes. They still have a need at safety, but that isn't a position they are likely to address at 15. It's no secret that Gary Kubiack longs to have an elite two back backfield.

I would be a bit surprised in the Texans didn't get a running back somewhere in the first two rounds.

And, again, I don't think Philadelphia will own the 28th pick when it comes down to the actual draft.

Did this mock come out today? I ask because he was on ESPN on Sat saying that The Giants will take Britt.
