2010 not considered more special?

With that 0 in the end, means END of the decade, and welcoming a new decade (Although no fears of glitch like Y2K)

But, is this kind of New Year/ Eve celebration MORE special than any other New Year, or not really?

Based on the hype so far, I don't see it as any more special.

No one is really like making it more important than any others.

I don't either. the only good things I have going for me in 2010 is :
A) One year closer to SM4
B) Some movie come out that I wanna see (HP7, IM2, TS3, ANOES, Wolfman)
C) I graduate

Wish they at least had a better TV programming

In many countries, like China New Years are celebrated with MUCH more TV Entertainment than here in the US!

Here it's only sports and no specials at night.

Nothing against sports, as I am a huge fan myself, but should also have maybe a few other good specials besides sports.

B) On Jan 11th I begin Community College full-time.

1. It isnt the end of the decade. 2011 is the start of the new decade.
2. Not as special as 99-00 but I think the start of any new decade is pretty cool. I like to see how the (political/social) trends change from decade to decade.
3. I'm not looking forward to the next two decades. People seem to keep saying that the economy will still be slow until the middle of the next decade and that a new financial crisis may start in the 20's.

I don't consider this any special because my boyfriend and i aren't together for this.
If he was, I would have a different opinion of this.

But anyway, as I see it: 2010 isn't any special. I mean Last year was really different, we have president Obama, I graduated that year, and i got into a really great relationship now. From what I see it, nothing can top that because my life cannot be any more perfect than it is now.

This year is actually really not anymore special than any other year, Locally there isn't even a balldrop or Fireworks I don't think. But like I said, we are into a NEW decade and say goodbye to an old one. So I thought it would be more special, but nope...

Basically, for me and my country, it's a big deal, because of the Winter Olympics. I mean, I live in Vancouver, and we've been counting down the days for years. So really other than that, a new decade isn't that significant.
