LOOOOOOVE IT!

I'm sorry, men carrying purses and/or tiny make-up bags .. is not metrosexual. I don't know about Europe..but that crap is gay in the States. Haha.

Thats what people said about women wearing pants 70 years ago. Today it is no biggie. How can an inaminate object be gay?

I wear my utilikilt in public everywhere. I have started wearing my running skirt in the evening when I go walking/jogging. 20-30 years from now, people will look back and think how silly everyone was to label a man that wears a skirt as gay!

It's silly now, but it's also silly for men to wear skirts.

20-30 years from now, damn near everything we wear will look stupid. If you don't believe me, find a picture of someone from 1980-1990. Neon colors, glow in the dark shirts, war make-up, frizzy hair, parachute pants, one white sparkly glove, shoulder pads, gigantic gold chains, hip hugger jeans, dungarees with one strap undone, fluffy pink tutus, purple leather jackets.

My god, what were we thinking?!

Point is, if men wearing skirts becomes a trend, that crap's gonna die and every dude who wore one will look back in shame. Except for maybe the transvestites.

Lol! SuperFerret!

And ask anyone.. the act of holding a man-purse, whatever the size of the damned purse, is very GAY.

Men can keep whatever tools and accessories they need in their pockets.. ( imo, of course. ;P )

I think the fashion sense of the general public is much more casual and toned down, though.

Or a fanny pack. Which so aren't gay at all.

I truly believe that there is a fashion cabal that laughs at the public.

Leaked transcript:
Insider 1: Hey, remember when we ran those commercials last year and convinced women to buy Old Navy vests! They looked like they were abandoning ship ha ha ha!

Insider 2: That has nothing on the fact that we convinced women to wear those thick plastic belts...they looked like Batman in their solid primary color outfits and thick belts! We really got one over on them!

Insider 3: Step aside losers...I bet...with some work...I can make it cool for guys to wear pink!

Insider 1: No way, back in the 80's maybe, but not today!

Insider 3: You doubt me? I'll throw in a popped collar to go with it...it'll be a huge trend.

Insider 1: If you do...I'll make guys wear skirts by 2011.

Insider 3: DEAL!

Insider 2: People are sheep.

I have accessories that demand extra storage damnit! I don't feel like wearing cargo pants all the time... this isn't the early '00s. Fanny packs to the rescue!

Acceptably heterosexual accessories. Cell phone, iPod, cigarettes/electronic-cigarettes, occasional digicam when needed, lightsaber, hand sanitizer, burt's bees beeswax lip balm, condoms, flashlight, etc...

Actually, Until now, men have considered the idea of wearing something other than pants or long shorts in public to be nothing less than a sacrilege against humanity. Although, throughout history, the concept of men wearing skirted garments was all too common. After all, pants were not widely used by any society more than three hundred years ago. - Pants were originally an invention to make it easier to ride a horse. The idea stuck, and the two-legged garment became standard apparel for working men to stave off cold and abrasion.

Why are some of you so hung up on carrying a man bag or wearing a skirt?
Do you get your masculinity from beer ads on TV? If you do, thats pathetic. That is a prefect example of the beer cabal laughing at men for actually taking those stupid ads seriously!

Women are allowed to wear pants, which 70 yrs ago was unheard of.

Now if you want to talk practicality, then men should wear skirts. They do have extra anatomy in that area, while women don't. Pants are constricting and on hot days, kilts or skirts are much cooler.

And when I say men should wear skirts, I am NOT talking about the obviously fem ones. Lets be logical here. No lace or bright pink or anything outrageous. Look at some of the skirts that designer Marc Jacob wears.

You're right, Dreadstar. Women are allowed to wear pants now, but I haven't heard them ask permission in years. Something is rotten in the state of Denmark.

Fine. I'll let you slide with a skirt.. fine fine..

I'll stop at man-purses, though. :down That will never become acceptable.. :/

No, they did not ask, they demanded! Canada and the USA are democracies. So, if a man wants to wear a skirt, he should NOT be looked down upon, what the hell is wrong with people? He is exercising his right to choose. A right that many people died to defend in the world wars. Skirts may not be for you, thats fine. But if it is for me, dont start making stupid assumptions based on the fact that I wear a skirt!

I will agree that most of those skirts at fashion shows are not things I would wear!

Did you know? Pink was considered a masculine color in the early 20th century? Blue was considered girly.

"In Western culture, the practice of assigning pink to an individual gender began in the 1920s.[6] From then until the 1940s, pink was considered appropriate for boys because being related to red it was the more masculine and decided color, while blue was considered appropriate for girls because it was the more delicate and dainty color, or related to the Virgin Mary.[7][8][9] Since the 1940s, the societal norm was inverted; pink became considered appropriate for girls and blue appropriate for boys, a practice that has continued into the 21st century."

If you want me to wear a skirt in public, you're gonna have to give me a pair of tights, a loose-fitting tunic, a fanciful robe, a cape with jeweled clasps, and a floppy hat with a large feather in it.

Because if I'm going to wear a skirt, the rest of my outfit might as well be straight out of the Renaissance too.

No, I do not want you to wear a skirt. You wear whatever you want. But allow me to wear what I want without labeling me.

No can do. If I see someone wearing something I find silly, I'm going to label it silly. I don't care if it's a skirt, a polo shirt with the collar flipped up, or socks that don't match your pants.

Well I always considered the term metrosexual to just mean gay guys still in the closet.

Why would gay men want to wear skirts? Transvestites might but gay men? I don't think so.

In other news, I saw this excellent fashion item while travelling through Scotland recently. Do you think it will catch on?

Why would gay men wear high heel shoes and boots, yet I see a ton of them who do. Gays will love this.

I work with a gay guy at work.. he brings a purse with him everyday. I think it's just for the look. I doubt he honestly needs anything out of that damned thing on a daily basis. >>;
