24 is back

24's executive producer David Fury has now revealed on Twitter that he is involved in the revival.

Linking to an article about the return, he wrote: "Yep, I'm pulling double duty along w/ [FX pilot] TYRANT. Whoo & Hoo!"

Asked by a follower whether the new season would consist of eight or 12 episodes, Fury replied: "12."

The idea for the limited series reportedly came from 24's producer Howard Gordon, who is also working on Tyrant with Fury.
