This is from battle section one, of the JLA vs Avengers book, which fights are short teasers with no clear winners.

Asgard and New Genesis have temporarily merged

On the last panel, After Thor and Asgard dissappear back into their proper time and place, Orion is yelling something about the crisis and how he wont rest until blah blah blah (insert standard comic dialogue)

I like the Kirby swipes ('cause Kirby is God and there's no way to be a good comic artist without ripping him off in my opinion) and the John Byrnesque Thor face at the bottom of page 2.

Best part is the begining with Orion in the foreground and Thor's arm still extended post-punch. Wicked. Though, I'd make Orion's hand larger.

I went through some of the kirby new gods run and took a few panel layouts. He had already envisioned some of the action I wanted to tell, so I give him ultimate props and respect.
The byrne/perez etc influences just roll out of me sometimes. It's fun to see when and where they pop up.
