360 game recommendations?

Id agree with the above... Portal 1 and 2 are awesome

Why anyone would recommend Alan wake... i do not know...

Its ok for a little while... but its not worth a purchase unless you can get it CHEAP.

XBLA has soem awesome titles.... Limbo and Trials HD to name 2.

The Gears games are a must.

Halo is loved by the Xbox comunity, although im not a fan myself

Left4dead 1 & 2 are awesome.

One of the first 360 games which is still one of the most fun is.... CRACKDOWN... although the second one was a bit of a let down.

I'd wait for Forza 4 & F1 2011 (coop career!) if you're into racers or maybe give Blur & Dirt 3 a go.

Beat'em ups - Marvel Vs Capcom 3, Soul Calibur IV (V coming up soon), Mortal Kombat 9, Tekken 6/Super Streetfighter IV or even wait for Streetfighter X Tekken & Tekken X Streetfighter.

Oh and again if you don't have steam, get some of the best rpg's on the 360.

1. Oblivion Elder Scrolls (And Skyrim! *coming soon*)
2. Fallout 3. Best post apocalyptic game ever.

I thought Crackdown 2 was great. I mean, it was more or less the same as Crackdown 1 with more weapons etc, but if he hasn't played the first one, may as well start with the sequel, since I can only imagine someone really enjoying ONE of those games.

If you like puzzles, I highly recommend downloading Limbo from Xbox Live. It's very clever and moody, shouldn't cost much either.

^ Ah Limbo the story is good, the gameplay is 10/10. It's short but has BIG replay value.

It is really good, it even has some gameplay comparable to VVVVVV with the gravity switches. It's an amazing game, not to mention the nice unlocks.

I remember I had a really bad fever for five days or so when Limbo came out and as soon as I started playing I forgot I was sick hahah. It was way too short to justify the $15 price tag but the lack of music and the art put me in a trance. I wish more games handled immersion that well.

Limbo really was great. I got it for half price, but it's probably worth the full $15 in my opinion.

Hmm... I seem to remember the price of Braid being a point of contention as well.

A fun game for the 360 arcade that for some reason Limbo just reminded me of is Splosion Man. Game is nuts but fun and funny as hell. Not sure why Limbo reminded me of that because they are total opposites but it did.

If I was forced to buy just ONE "arcade" title..it would be Shadow Complex. That game is more enjoyable and has more depth than some full release titles I've bought.
