Picard 3x05 "Imposters"

That is a loooooong stretch to take. Their relationship was platonic, not romantic. Not once was there a hint of romance between them. Like Gaultheria said it was more akin to father/daughter than anything else. He never dated or was interested in a subordinate like that. Picard's main romances were always more clearly Crusher and Vash.

Why does Ro transfer all those people to the Intrepid when she doesn't trust the crew? She just sent them to a ship of changelings. She reduces the Titan's crew, and actually weakens them by doing this. A skeleton crew still needs rest. The obvious answer is to save the show money on extras and just keep the main cast. But for the actual story all it does is make Ro look dumb by serving people up to the changelings on the Intrepid.

Ro wasn’t in control of that situation, but she was able to steer it a bit to benefit people she trusted. Ironic for her, that collaborating with invaders turned out to be the best way she could protect her real allegiance.

So do you think off camera she went and interviewed and screened the people she sent to the Intrepid? Or could it have been a divide and conquer sort of thing? Either way she doesn't know who is loyal in the skeleton crew she left.
I think she just dumped most of the crew to the Intrepid with no regard to their safety. She already knew the Intrepid was compromised.

From growing up the way she did, Ro has a brutally pragmatic outlook regarding casualties of war. Not that she’s cruel, just that testing and protecting Jean-Luc and a few of his trusted allies was her goal, and everything else was not.
