402 - Team Penguin (Discussion)

This was a good episode, & i enjoyed it alot. this epsidoe took so many twist & turns it was unbeliveable. i did enjoy the robin & batgirl bantering. but after while it kinda got on my nerves at some point.

i to thought bane was going to be on the team, but alas he wasn't:cmad: . it would of been great to see him smash & bash through some buildings agian, since we haven't seen him do that since season 1. i to also thought that killer moth was going to go on a rampage, whenever he turned into a snarling monster.

i wonder what they show would be like if batman took a back seat for acouple of episodes, & let robin & batgirl take the front lead. cause robin was kicking all kinds of tail in this ep. this last piece of dialog was great in this ep.

it was at the end when batgirl said you won't be driving the batmobile till your 40, then robin says at least i will be driving the batmobile. :cwink: pure gold & priceless:up: .

i can't wait to see more.

You won't have to wonder long. One episode this season, according to the synopsis provided to World's Finest.com, will indeed have that happen. Something will sideline or capture Batman and the two sidekicks have to take over from there.

I, while having enjoyed the banter between the pair this episode, am not looking foward to that episode because it's generic. In every single "superhero with a sidekick" story ever written in known fiction, there is the "main hero is captured/sidelined and the sidekick has to save the day" episode. We saw it in Season 3 with "Brawn", and it sucked. Granted, at least Robin isn't nearly as annoying as Batgirl and is being handled competantly. I just don't look foward to "generic" episodes. It's like if I see on the series summaries a "Shrinking" episode, or a "go back in time" episode. I instantly go, "AGAIN I have to sit through this!?"

Of course, that doesn't mean the writers can't spin something good out of it. It's just become a rarity. But I have improved hopes for this season, though.

Not trying to change your opionion, but you never may know, it could be a good episode. team peguin gave us a insight of what an episode would be like when batman takes the backseat, & the 2 sidekicks are in the spotlight.

it was a fun ride IMO . & i think that ep will also be a fun ride to.

pretty good episode, i was watching it on youtube and when i finished it i watched some of the third episode ever, batman was pretty f**kin cool.

I never said the episode couldn't be good. My last line of my last post mentioned it. Some shows have actually turned gold with "generic" plots; JLU and TMNT come to mind for recent examples. In terms of THE BATMAN, the episode "The Laughing Bat" could have been a lame cheese-fest but instead turned out creepy and good, so, who knows.

I love THE BATMAN this season . BATMAN is a badass & Robin rules, who needs Batgirl. When you've got The Dynamic duo !!!!!!

I thought it was great. Who would have thought Robin could be such a badass? Whacking the s**t out of Penguin, screaming how he's not a lackey. :D

By the way, did any one catch the Maltese Falcon reference? :D

I really enjoyed this episode too. But the best highlight for me was when everyone found out who each other is, and we got to see how they look unmasked in their costume, which was cool.
