4th Edition Dungeons & Dragons announced, nerds in uproar

Overall it'll be interesting to see what changes are made. I sure wasn't a fan of the 3.5 rule system. :word:

What didn't you like about 3.5? Too simplistic?

I'd like to get in her dungeon. :ninja:

Ahem, D&D never interested me. Play Call of Cthulhu dammit! :cmad:

Because it looks good. :(

<i've never played it, but I love some of Lovcraft's work>

That's cool, it is an awesome game. It just might be my favorite, actually.

For those of you who played the game Summoner for the PS2, this will be familiar...and funny!

Well, doesn't Call of Cthulu use some d100 ruleset or something?

I will do it tonight, and let you know. I also got Dead Rising, but cant find any cheat codes that I can put in to keep from dying and to from having unlimited ammo. I did find a car and kept running over zombies but then it got damaged.
Oh yeah, the cheat in Oblivion that I don't feel ruins the fun, just makes it a little less frustrating, but, I'd advise you level a guy up without doing it first and then use it when you're making other side-guys just for fun...is:

buy 2 of the same scroll. Just click on them in your inventory twice, then go to whatever item you want to have duplicated and drop it (but make sure it's only one item there, you can't drop a stack of 20 arrows or something), and when you drop the one item, two will be there on the ground.

I plowed through making several guys using Zero cheats.
But now, like, getting a Grand one of those blue magic stones, WITH a Grand charge, is a pain in the ass, so I just make one whenever I need one.

For the most part it's percentiles, yeah. Stats and stuff are different. There's a d20 version but I never checked it out as I like Chaosium's system.

I've always been a fan of Ravenloft. The whole gothic horror setting works well if you've got a good DM that can tell a good story and really paint a scene.
Plus there's the fact that the PCs have the entire demi-plane stacked against them. That's always fun.

Gothic Horror? Sounds great. :D

Is it cards/board game or computer game?

It's a table top RPG using the D&D rules with some added stuff to make it more uniquem such as horror and madness checks.

I could never get into tabletops. :csad:

Madness checks sound awesome. Ever played Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth? Its on PC and X-Box.

This is Drakon!!!!!:ninja: :woot: *runs...

I've heard about it, but never played it.

D&D is actually pretty fun, when you have actually have a capable DM among your group of friends. I do not. :(

Man, I haven't played D&D in years. I loved playing but can't find anyone around here who plays.:csad:
