Every year that goes by and I just am shocked at how long ago it's already been. I have vivid memories of going to the movie so hyped with my parents, we all took off that day. I'd been waiting for 2 years for this moment and boy did it not disappoint, I was already a Spidey fan but man oh man..

And tomorrow the 4th, is already 4 (!!) years since SM3 was released. Jeez.

Agreed! I was a Spidey/Marvel fan for a few years before the first film came out and man, I was awe struck when I finaly saw my favorite Superhero come to life.

Wow, 4 years already. Feels just like yesterday I was at the midnight premiere of S-M3.

Thank the heavens that Marvel decided to use common sense and reboot their greatest character Spiderman. I am a huge Thor fan but Spiderman was always my fav growing up and I am still shamed by what Sam Raimi did to our the entire spidey franchise........He messed everything up.

While realizing that it is difficult to keep all the source material intack during a movie, I am 100% for keeping it as close as possible, Raimi purposefully twisted and turned everything into a mess, to a point that by the time we reached the 3rd movie, Spiderman did not even seem like Spiderman anymore.... Here are the 10 things that Raimi did to force Marvel into a Reboot of the Franchise in order to save it for generations to come.

1.) He made a laughable joke out of the Green Goblin, as well as Harry Osborn (turning him into the Rocket Racer.) as well as Vemon.

2.) He messed Doc Ock up even more, making him a Hero and giving him a normal life, a wife until the Accident, Doc Ock was a crazed genuis, a total loser in life who focused soley on work, and the explosion sent him over the edge, he had no redeeming value and would have never destoryed his own invention.

3.) Toby was not Peter Parker, he has no comedy value whatsoever, and Spiderman not talking his villians down while beating the holy crap out of them is simply not the Spiderman we all grew up with.

4.) Kristen was not Mary Jane, MJ was a Knockout beauty that forced all who looked upon her to do a doubletake, male and female alike....A Supermodel. Kristen was a Plain Jane and did not embody the role at all.

5.) The Story....What else can I say, Tobey looked like a senior in College instead of a high School freshman. Where the Hell was Gwen Stacy, They waited and crammed her in during the third movie, she was Peters 1st love and the main reason he committed himself to being a hero after he lost her.

6.) The Story...... The Sandman did not Shoot Ben....For crying out loud, The Green Goblin is not a Power Rangers Villian, and Spiderman did not soley exist to save Mary Jane each time she got in touble like he did mulitple times in each film.

7.) No issue with the organic web shooters, but they underplayed Spideys other powers, my main issue is with Tobey and his habit of fighting with his mask off, Hell everyone in New York new who He was by the 3rd film, and as the Civil War taught us, Spiderman Secert id is his most important asect.

8.) Most of the 1st movie was trash, Half of of the 2nd movie was Trash and ALL of the 3rd movie was trash......nuff said.

9.) I know the returns was nice since their are so many Spiderman fans out their but Marvel had to be covering their eyes and holding their breath upon seeing that horrible trilogy.

10.) No emotion form any of the Characters really, go back and watch it if you can stomach it. Sam Raimi should never be allowed to touch a Marvel Franchise again.

^Actually, Sony is rebooting Spider-Man, not Marvel. Sony has the film rights.

I know but Marvel will have a lot to say about the story this time, they will not allow what happened to Spidey during the Raimi time to happen again I assure you. for Starters they have already fixed Peter, Gwen, the Uncle ben part happens at home not on the side of the road etc. hopefully they will make the Lizard scary as hell and bring us the true green goblin by the end of the film setting up a sequel.
