This actually made me laugh out loud, because it's exactly what I would say (followed by words like "asinine" and "ludicrous" and then some swearing about mental deficiencies).

Perhaps the government has secret, terrible information about the future of this child. Perhaps we are now living in the world of Minority Report. Or maybe I just like Minority Report.

You can't get yourself off a terror watchlist just because you ask to be taken off. There needs to be some sort of investigation if the homeland deems it necessary.

America is clueless when it comes to security. When's the last time a terrorist attack was averted BEFORE the terrorist was about to strike? Underwear bomber, Time Square bomber... All successful in getting to the final step, but thankfully failed.
