7 year old handcuffed and interrogeted over $5

I was spanked at two different preschools/kindergartens after it was illegal. My parents raised hell lol. I probably deserved it.

Haha well I was born in 1991 and got paddled all the way up until like 6th or 7th grade. Probably because the town I grew up in was so backwater redneck I didn't even wear shoes to school most of the time.

Most kids this age won't listen to reason or logic if they're misbehaving. My younger brother learned that punishment was just a stern talking to or "grounding" and I just know he's going to end up in prison before 2020

I got paddled when I was a kid in school too. Nowadays I have to pay for that kind of action.

From what I've been reading, the NYPD are claiming they never detained the kid for "10 hours." Apparently this kid has been bullying and assaulting the kid he robbed for quite some time now and was being uncooperative, it didn't happen at school it happened out in public. That's why the police got involved. The parents are seeing $$$, that's what this sounds like.

This isn't how you deal with bullying.

Especially when the kids involved are seven.

How do you deal with bullying?

Yeah I think for a seven year old a time-out in the corner/grounding is more in order than handcuffs and interrogations.

If anything now he is more than likely to grow up hating the cops and become an actual thug.

Why were the police even required? One time another kid stole some Pokemon cards from me. I punched him in the arm and got them back. No one needed to call the NYPD over it.

As much as I dislike police brutality, and as much as I believe the kid did not commit an actual crime, I bet a steak dinner that this kid was acting like a punk to the cops and that was the reason he was treated the way he was.

I'm betting the little brat deserved it.

It sounds like it's been an on-going thing, obviously the parents of the victim aren't being heard. If your kid is being assaulted on a constant basis, then finally robbed, I'm sure you'd be at your last straw as well.

At this rate, the little dude will know the thrill of a taser before he hits puberty.
