Yeah, I remember back home the Simpsons used to be one after Married with Children .

Hah I just remmebered once I was listening to the radio and Genesis was playing, a guy came up to me (about 19, 5 years younger than me round about) and asked "what band's this?" I told him it was Genesis and he said "Oh yeah I remember them, from tapes in the 90s" .

oh jeezus, the other day I was at Best Buy waiting on line and Heart Shaped Box by Evanescence was playing. I overheard these 2 kids(probably around 16 yrs old) saying how great the song is and one kid said that it was original. I don't normally do this but I had to intervene and say "Original? This is a Nirvana cover song" and the kid says "What the **** is Nirvana?". I wanted to punch this kid in the face. They looked at me like I'm some old loser.

Seriously, what is wrong with kids today?

This sounds like a story I heard where the guy said he was looking at Spider-Man toys and 2 kids said he was too old for Spider-Man. He then asked them when Spider-Man was created and they said "when the movie was made".

You know what both stories have in common? They both sound fake and even if they were true, kids don't have to know about things that YOU grew up with. Did you learn everything that happened when your parents were young? I don't think so.

I used to like power rangers back in Kindegarden, and favorite was the Kamen Rider (whose mask resembles a locust). Americanized power rangers don't interest me much though.

Aha, I had Wishbone's Odyssey for the PC... I think it spawned my interest in Greek mythology. Little did I know there were not really any Jack Russel Terriers in ancient Greece.
