A common wtf thing I don't understand

How can I be so lazy to the point that I don't even wanna reach over and grab my laptop charger when it's about to die?

My mom is like that where once she gets into bed, she never wants to get up to get something, even if it's just a foot next to her. Instead, she'll call me from the other side of the house to get her something that's right next to her. Sometimes, she'll even wait for me to pass by before she tells me to do something.

My dad used to do that with the TV remote. I got tired of it and went to the dollar store and bought 5 of them and placed them all within reach of his chair so that he doesn't have to call me for that task.
 
i get this, it's with bin changing, plate washing,

in a sense anything that requires any additional effort than the original task requested.

in the same way i won't smoke the last cigarette in a communal pack because i know i'll have to go and buy the next pack.

it's just not worth the stress. i'd rather deny myself
 
In my house, we don't make someone wash all of the dishes after dinner since everyone usually eats at different times, but it bothers me when I'm washing my own plate and then someone comes along and drops their plate in the sink, expecting me to wash it.
