I would really suggest you go back to college for a semester or two and take some english cases.
To try to teach kids without fully understanding their spoken language is just irresponsible, IMO.
I am not agree with you
cuzz i know the language but i just need to learn the grammar
i have my degree i am prepare besides i will take this year to finish this language
i want to have 90% of english and i am also a teacher in elementary school here in mexico therefore i don't have to know the complete language jus the basics
now that i know that i wanna get a job in the usa the next year i will get more knowledge
as you can see i have grammar mistakes in this forum but iin 1 year i know i can be better![]()
Why don't you want to teach in your own country? (just curious)
Either way, country to country, province/state to province/state, city to city, school to school and even class to class you'll need to teach every one of your classes differently. The teachers that never taught me anything that stuck were the teachers that would generalize us all as just kids. You need to be able to accommodate every class individually.no no no
you guys are missunderstanding this
i am going to enter in a college call HARMON HALL
but it will start in september so what i want right now is a little help from the internet to practice a little bit
you guys are talking about someone that doesn't exist I Studied to be a teacher cuzz i love kids and want them to be better people
i don't see american or mexican kids i just see KIDS and i will dedicate my life to them just like my parents did
as i said i will use this year to prepare myself in this language and i know i can do it![]()

Before I say anything, why don't I just send you a comparative essay and we'll see if you can at least comprehend what it's about?
Righhhhhht
no no no

If you have any more questions, you can post them in this thread and I'll answer them for you, if you'd like.
THANK YOU!!!!
I DO HAVE A LOT OF QUESTIONS
also thanks for the link
are u a teacher?
I don't think that we are misunderstanding you. We understand that you have studied to be a teacher and want to teach in the USA, but you are aware that you need to comprehend English to do so.
We are merely expressing how important your understanding of, and the ability to speak English is for your desired career in this country. We aren't saying you won't be a good teacher, or that you don't have the best intentions. We're just trying to cement the importance of your goal of speaking English fluently, because like you, a good education is important to us.
Unless I missed it, you hadn't explained what Harmon Hall was, so I had to research it. Not finding an English version of the site, I had to (attempt) to remember my spanish classes from high school. Is this a school primarily for teaching how to speak English? Is it a school for teachers, or just a "learn a new language here" night class?
I believe you when you say you know you can do it and that you have the students' best interest in mind. No one is saying anything to the contrary. We're just hoping you fully understand the importance of the language for young kids in school. Its not some thing you can half-ass like at McDonalds, ya know?
Good luck with your work and knee surgery!
No, I'm not. But I have a Bachelor's degree in English with a concentration in Writing and Rhetoric.
