A Lounge of Two Tacits

Alcohol and live music means I'll pass on the occasion.
Sorry everybody.

Just because there is booze does not mean you have to drink it. I haven't drank for over 2 years and still go places that serve alcohol.

Also, who the f*** doesn't like live music?!

I stopped going to live music because it hurt my ears.

I need to keep my distance from the drunk.

I don't, it's loud an annoying.

Most folks don't get drunk, they have a few drinks and are maybe a bit more chatty. I think you have some misconceptions about drinking and what "drunk" is.

Ear plugs bruh. If I had known then what I know now I'd have been wearing them a long time ago. Now I just have constant tinnitus like most of my other DJ buddies. All good though, and I still love everything obscenely loud.

Nope.
Maybe a misconception of alcohol consumption in such events.

Ooor you are actually sane

You know, variable possibilities. ;)

DJ is right. I've worn earplugs to shows and it does help. Some venues are just obnoxiously loud. :(

Ya, most folks aren't like me and don't like to get blackout stupid wasted. The average Joe will have a few and loosen up a little, maybe act a little goofy. Me on the other hand, I'll blackout and then wake up being told I'm not allowed back or wonder why I'm currently in a jail cell.

Thanks to blasting music in my headphones while spinning I'm technically partially deaf in my left ear so I can't hear very high frequencies in that ear. But my hearing is still damn good. I can differentiate between slight BPM changes which most folks can't do. You literally have to re-wire/train your brain to do it.

There are a few options for earplugs, they make pretty cheap ones that are decent for bringing down the noise. If you're serious about music and protecting your ears though several companies can make molds of your ears and plugs specifically for you. Cost a few hundred dollars but there is no muffling of the sound. It just brings down the decibels without affecting quality.

Lol, DJ. I just go to smaller venues now. Not so loud there. Less crowded too. :)

I use ear plugs all the time, because I already feel the effects of not having used them. Better safe than sorry

If you guys want to see a young C.Lee in his prime, look up on YT: Typical Male by Steven Corvette. That was when he tried a career in music. Fascinating.

Just testing the waters for something that I am for sure gonna do in Spring but would like to gauge the reaction among this lot. IF there were an organized meet up for SHHype members would any of you be interested in going to such an event, especially if it were at a place that sold alcohol, there was live music, a Q&A section and it were to be filmed? I know no one here is in the NYC area so it's a hypothetical. Still... Would you make time for such an event if it were held close to you? Have there been such meets in the past?

And yes, this is a TBC thing.

According to a quiz I took just now, I'm apparently a narcissist. It says "normal" people score between 15-18, celebs score around 18 and anything over 20 is in the narcissist category. I scored a 30.

I always thought that cat in your avy had a smug, satisfied look. ;)
