A Mirror Darkly?

UGh! wat terrible depiction of Flash. The babbling, the ADD, I guess it kinda makes sense but Flash's comedic timing has always been taken with a little more practicality and respect( in terms of making him a tentpole character of the DCU).

Plus I really hate the Barry Allen wing head look. I much prefer the Wally West lightning bolt head look, it makes more sense too.

I also want to address another concern brought up. Is everyone going to come into the Batcave and more or less figure out who Batman really is. And when did BAtman become such a team player. The Superman/Batman episode seemed to have their roles reversed between the loner and the teammates. I feel the team ups are being done frivolously, unless this show will evolve into a Justice League show.

This episode was pure GARBAGE

The bad

1. Another JL teamate is brought to the fliping BATCAVE , and learns Bruce Wayne is BATMAN WTF

2. Barry Allen WTF as The Flash, I wanted Wally West Damnit

3. Charlie Schlatter instead of Micheal Rosenbaum WTF

4. Mirror Master & his henchwench WTF

5. The whole story plot

The Good

1. Robin (some of you might find is one-lines annoy, but presonal I like them .)

2. Batman (He saves the day .)

This Flash hasn't been officially identified on the show as barry, they left his identity a blank for the fans to choose who they interpretate him as.

I enjoyed this episode, but mirror master was pretty cliche, and his efforts were pretty wasteful for his demands.

Flash was awesome, though the speed talking wasn't an aspect i thought they should of given him, Michael Rosenbaum's voice would of been a better choice, shame really. I hope future JLA touch on him a little more, he wasn't given a good introduction like green arrow was in his episode and he needs a back story.

It's not like they don't know in the comics. What's the issue here?
But in the comics it took years before he revealed his identity and where the Batcave is except for Diana and Clark. Some still don't know. There was an issue of JLA where the whole team revealed their identities.

And in the DCAU we got that classic moment in Starcrossed where Batman knew everyone's identities.

"Wally West, Clark Kent, ....Bruce Wayne."

I guess I was the only one that liked the depiction of Flash. It made sense, that's how I feel he would actually be. I mean, he moves so fast pretty much all the time, it's how he'd be. The eating thing, spot on. The fast talking? Reminded me more of Zoom, but still, that how I picture Flash to be. The constant moving and not slowing down/ "ADD"? That's how the character should be.

Also, this isn't a "hey, lets copy exactly what the comics are doing!". I hate when people bring up "he isn't like this in the comics" and such. Look at just about all the rogues on this show. Most of them are somewhat similar to the comics, but they all have their own uniqueness. Now, the plot of the actual episode and the quality of it I didn't like too much, but I did like Mirror Master being more than just a joke, and the waytheyprotrayed the Flash.

I do agree about the eating thing. He burns so much energy by moving around that it would make sense that he's constantly hungry.

This episode was not what i thought it would be I was let down.

Wow,

this episode was really quite bad.

Dopelgangers didn't have any personality and were just slaves.

Mirror master didn't even take centre stage as the main villain. His sidekick was also totally useless. I don't see the point with all these unecessary female aids the batman seems to give the main villains, this is the third time it's happened (not counting harley) and it's getting annoying.

The action wasn't even great and this was batman vs batman. Had a really hard time seeing how one batman had trouble against another batman or how the bad one beat both him and robin. IN 'a better world' there was an amazing dual batman confrontation. Maybe they are saving that for the time that anti-batman dude shows up.

the flash was forgettable at best here. He wasn't that quick and didn't do anything spectacular. He was also the first guest star to not really get an origin story or a look at his dual personality EVEN though bruce let him see where the batcave was and also his secret identity.

This was weak.

Well, it seems almost nobody liked the episode, but I did. I really enjoyed it. I agree, Robin was really lame, and when
he disappears in the mirror dimension
I felt better because he was not here anymore, and the suit of the mirror Master looked odd.. If I remember correctly the voice of Flash is the same than the S:TAS' one. I think he was good. I loved the way he was talking fast sometimes, but I agree with some of you, the colors was a little too dark, and I felt that Flash needed a little more brighter suit.
For once, I felt the motivations of the villains were not THAT lame. I liked how they used all the possibilities of the mirrors. But come on, what the hell is the girl ?!? Come on. WTF ?!?
Batman was great in this episode, and I have to say I did love some of his attitudes ; maybe it's not very noticeable : when he puts his hand against the mirror, when he takes his grappling gun, in the middle of the smoke, to follow his reflection.
Well, I really liked the episode, even if there were too much action for my taste ; instead of spending 5 minutes on the fight with the reflections, they could have build good motivations for the villain. The fact that they didn't do an origin story was not bad at all, I think, it allowed to spend more time on the actual situation.
Overall not a bad episode, I find it better than the Green Arrow episode.

there hasn't been a single decent team up this season

and its still strange that all of these villains are coming to gotham and bruce hasn't gone anywhere yet.

What would be nice is to see through the joker's eyes how he feels about villains from other cities muscling in on his kingdom or arkham's response to the rise of criminals from outer town.

Joker Episode's are half and half for me. But if this is the last season and this possibly the last Joker episode, they really need to pull out all the stops.
joker needs to kill someone.
he seems like a reserved version of himself.
he really needs to do something horrible, and get away with it.

joker has killed people before, just saying, and more than a thousand attempted murders

i didnt like the episode, and the outside villains are pretty stupid. but i did like that flash talked fast, it made sense.

Okay, decent episode, but a question has entered my mind, y yo estoy peligroso ahora! All the preview pictures this season have been in wide-screen (looks like 16:9?), so are the images cropped to widescreen, or is the show cropped to fullscreen? If it's the latter I'm an angry fellow. Especially if all the seasons have been animated in wide-screen...

here's a quick though, if the mirror master could construct sentient mirror constructs of batman etc, why didn't he ever wish to see his identity cause he could just hold batman for ransom instead

also why didn't he create mirror images of those prisms he stole instead of actually wasting his time trying to steal them.

or perhaps sell his idea to a movie studio so they wouldn't have to waste money on stunt men and have authentic multiple mirror constructs of professional actors doing stunts in films without any risk of the loss of life.

He could construct mirror images, they could replicate actions, but it's just a construct based on data that he had. Thus he couldn't find out the identity, because that was an unknown variable. I'm guessing the clone had no defining features under the mask at all.

That's what I got out of it, though.

Pretty sub par episode. But I've learned not to expect much from The Batman.

Yeah, it wasn't an actual clone. It was just an image based on what it knew. If it removed its mask I'm assuming it would just be another mask under it. Stupid sounding, yes, but it would make the most sense.

I actually enjoyed this episode...

I figured it was Wally West because of the trick in vibrating through solid objects.

I thought Barry hadn't mastered that and Wally was the only Flash to pull that off???

^Me too but actually I was looking at my dc encyclopedia and it says Barry can do that to

Wally can do it but he makes stuff blow up when he does it.

It was an ok episode. I'm really hoping for a JLA series to come from this.

I liked the episode it was a fun little romp. but i didn't like flashes voice actor, micheal rosenbum would of have been a better choice cause he fits the flash pretty good in jl/jlu. but the batman's version of flash was pretty good. infact i think he was alot better than the jl/jlu flash.

since he moved all the time, barley got beat up in a fight. was more serious & knew what he was doing all the time, i could go on but im not. i dunno what i should give the episode hmmm maybe 8/10 seems fair.:woot:

For me, the best thing about this ep was Batman & Flash's rapport. He seemed to genuinely enjoy the sPeedster's company. And I know Bat's is supposed to be the brooding type, but it was nice. I had no problem with Flash's voice, wings, appetite or anything, really. I liked it more than Supes' "I work alone" image and Arrow's "Wayne sucks" nonsense. Plus, he found the batcave on his own, unlike the other's who followed him or were invited.

So yeah, Mirror Master has an incredibly nonsensical power, moreso even than F4's Puppet Master. His henchgirl Smoke (great name lol!) wasn't necessary but didn't detract anything from the story. He did a good job of being lame all by himself.

I never understood why everyone likes Robin more than Batgirl. They're equally annoying in my book. And he really topped himself in this ep. "I like to smell my feet"? Really?

I enjoyed this episode.

I liked the speed talk but I dont recall Flash ever doing that.

Quicksilver however does it all the time though in the books.
