A new creative thread

I can only speak for my self here but does anyone else feel the Fandom Come thread needs a reboot?

This place is full of talented writers, thinkers and artists that are all together almost everyday but do nothing with that opportunity. Its like being at band rehearsal but instead of playing we discuss our favorite or most hated bands and songs rather than actually playing music.

I feel we need a new creativity thread that will inspire the folk here to work together and actually create and give something back.

I feel the fandom come thread is very uninspiring and lacking the heart it needs for a creativity thread, in a place full of creative dorks I would imagine it would be thriving but its not.

Thoughts?

by thread do you mean subforums?

what do you suggest? i held contest bi-monthly last year and gave away actual prizes but turnout was low

Yes subforum. Sorry, I knew there was another word but couldn't think of it at the time.

Personally I find the fan fiction/art subforum to be uninviting.

Perhaps a title change and open up the ides that it can be more than just fan fiction and art. I personally think it should be a place where folks can suggest their own ideas on how they would like to see x film done, post up images and what not. Like a round table of purely creative discussions.

There are certain movie threads that I want to post how I would have gone about making the film but I feel annoying talking about that in a thread dedicated to the actual film. It would be neat if there was place outside of the official movie thread that those types of conversation's could take place.

Sorry I'm slightly hungover so I might not be making sense.

Perhaps there isn't the interest here for that so maybe its not worth it.

you can make a thread in Misc Films about how you'd handle a certain film or franchise. that would probably get a lot of feedback

your own version and how you'd go about it and what would happen, that could very well fall under Fanfictions
