A New Trailer for the New Year-Speculation/Discussion Thread

No, there is no new trailer just yet, but Zack confirmed quite a while ago that there would be a new trailer for the new year. Now let's speculate what movie it may be attached to, or post any news or descriptions regarding the trailer.

It would be awesome if it was red band.

So we can see things like Manhattan blowing up the Vietcong from the comic-con footage in HD glory.

Would probablly be a good way to show to audiences,that this is really not a run of the mill comic flick,as well.

The TV spots should be starting soon, though I don't expect they will contain anything we haven't seen before. I do think they will produce one more trailer, though I have no idea what they will attach it to.

i think they might hold off on releasing new trailers until the legal problems with FOX are finished. I don't think it would be good for WB to start releasing more stuff 3 months from release just to have it get delayed. They'll probably proceed with caution and release one new trailer and hold off for a bit.

There really isn't much more they can give us without basically showing us ALL the major or cool shots.

Two full length trailers, exclusive footage, video journals. Each one with new footage that the one before didn't have.

Maybe they should do short, simple character trailers? Like 30 seconds of those character posters. Just footage related to the character with short voice overs from the specific characters.

Well there is The Dark Knight re-release on January 23rd.

Underworld 3 is also set on the 23rd.

We've yet to see a R-rated trailer, that would be great.

Watching a red-band trailer for Watchmen would be a perfect way to start off the new year!

I know this is extremely trivial and you almost have to take my word for it, but one of my good friends is a manager at a theater I used to work at. While we were hanging out last night his co-workers called him to screen Friday the 13th with them but we didn't really want to go.

So he says "You know there's a new Watchmen trailer on it right?" So we race up there just to see the trailer but it was already in the movie. We were assured that it was another full trailer with NEW footage.

It's not like I'm a credible source, but hey my 2 cents.

And then he also said....

He has seen the previous trailers, but when building the movie he said the trailer that came in the film cans for Friday the 13th had Trailer #3 written on it.

I used to work projection at this theater for a few years at the end of high school/beginning of college. Most blockbusters DID have a final trailer within a month of being released.

I REALLY REALLY hope we get something tonight or tomorrow.

Every time I look there is a new trailer/tv spot, I can't wait now!

I downloaded every bit I could and cut together my own trailer against a cover I recorded in Logic, with some Smashing Pumpkins and Muse love. Let me know what you think.

I just saw Friday the 13th. They had the same Second Trailer we've all already seen.

However this is a ****** theater with a ****** projection staff and track record, wouldn't be surprised if they just didn't bother to attach the newer trailer to it.

^I watched Fringe just a bit ago (recorded from Tuesday's arring) and they promised an exlusive sneak peek twords the end of it...nothin but the 2nd trailer also. Though it was still cool to watch it on the HDTV, and it'll bring more people in who haven't heard about it.

And Fringe is on Fox, ironically.

i call it the third trailer becuase of the trailer in the Scream Awards was technically the second
