I was around 13-15 when I bought this issue, so you can guess how long ago that was.
And I was always intrigued on how Marvel managed to pull this one off.
In a Black Widow saga written by Ralph Macchip and George Perez and drawn by george Perez, there is a scenne where Natasha appears dressing up as Black Widow and you can clearly see................... a nipple!

I don´t know the name of the issue since the brazilian version I bought uses different denominations, but the original US code is MFF 1-11/1983.
Probably mean Marvel F(something F(something) year one, issue 11, published in 1983.

BEHOLD! How about no, since it's nudity no matter how minor - E

I have nothing against nipples (in fact I´m a HUGE fan of them :p ), but my question is:
Those were the 80´s, when the Code was stil in effect, so how did they manage to dodge the censorship?

Magneto from X1:"Are you sure you saw what you saw?"

That's nothing, I've got an issue of what if? where you see the Goblin Queen's "southern comfort" and let's just say that they must have run out of X-razors back then

It got overlooked, I suppose. Who knows.

Probably not too many parents caught wind of the Black Widow nipple back then.

Careful though. According to some people seeing nipples in your comics and on television, namely Super Bowl halftime shows, could turn you into a sick sexual deviant who only thinks about sex all the time. And make you go blind from what I hear!!!

Ew. :(

Between the Goblin Queen, the White Queen, Storm and Psylocke...

Well, I don't know how the male X-Men do it.

Psychic castration.
Yeah, I kinda assume Xavier made it a requisite at the school, because otherwise we'd have even MORE X-Men, and that number's large enough as it is.

Very interesting. I wonder if that happened in the U.S. version.

GUYS!

Jesus, there are sites out there you can go to if you want to see naked comicbook ladies - BUT THIS AIN'T ONE OF EM

This was not some expression of the fanboy wanting comic porn, E. This is just Zeu's astonishment at finding something that clearly breaks the Comic Code. I sincerely doubt he was aroused or the like by this picture.

And yes, I know the pic is against the rules.

Ya know, if it was a nipple ya could barely make it out. Looked more like a mistake in the colors.

which is why the thread is still open because there does exist a potential for a conversation. But requests for scans of more naughty pictures is a nono

I wouldn't mind knowing the issue # myself, though, for curiosity

Yeah, I myself attributed to smushing of the colors/paper.

Elijya: Okay, cool.

Wait, curiosity? :p Heh.

Well, I was just curious to know how they pulled that one off.

Believe me, a solitary, almost unnoticeable nipple in a Black Widow comic is hardly shocking or even titilating for someone who´s read the likes of Serpieri´s Druuna. :D

At CBR, a couple guys managed to come up with the issue´s number, it´s Marvel Fanfare #11 and the US version doesn´t feature the nipple at all.

Weird......

ah

There was a Marvel Graphic Novel starring Black Widow that got away with a panel of nudity as I recall

Well, the U.S. IS the most prudish of all when it comes to censorship (which is slightly ironic.)

Well, that's quite the obvious statement. I mean...Janet Jackson's boob pops out for like 3.5 seconds and suddenly all our children have been scarred for life.

The way I see it that's the first and last boob some of those kids are going to see. :O

well, it's true. back in 1973, when a stray nip-slip occurred in the pages pages of JLA, (during a sequence in which Wonder Woman is trying on a brand-new, though spectacularly complex, costume) and a young boy was rendered blind for life after seeing such a shocking degradation of the female form, Marvel tightened the reins of their moral comics code, and forswore never to show a naked body part again!

'til Emma Frost, of course.

And Psylocke.

... And She-Hulk.

... AND Black Cat.

gratuitious X3 quote; "OH, YOU GET THE PICTURE!"
