Black Widow New On-going

isn't that a little sad. Marvel is a boys club when it comes to females. It feels like they think female characters just belong in team books sometimes.

Wait. She Hulk actually reached that too now that I recall, but she like Spider-Girl is forever getting cancelled.

yeah but compare when their first issue came out and when they reached 100. Savage She-Hulk #1(1980) reached issue 100 in 2006, Spider-Girl #1(1998) reached issue 100 in 2006.

That's true, oh well, I tend to enjoy the female ongoings at both companies when we get them.

yeah Wonder Woman is getting back on track and soon it's going back to it's original numbering issue 45 is issue 600 and Supergirl is hitting issue 50 this week, the new Batgirl is pretty good, and lets not Forget Batwoman in detective, and the Question Back up, plus Gotham City Sirens, the Manhunter back up in Streets of Gotham, Powegirl, the upcoming Zatanna series, plus all the great female characters on teams like Secret Six, Donna Troy is leading the new Justice League. jeez I think DC cares about pushing female characters. but to be fair Marvel has 3 She-Hulks.

Yeah, DC is much better at woman characters.

Ed Brubaker's Catwoman was one of my favorite comics.

No they don't. They only have one and her name is Jennifer Walters.

She-Poochie and Ginger-Hulk don't exist. You can't make me acknowledge them. :cmad:

As much as I like Widow, I don't think she's got the chops to be a leading solo character. She's more of the perfect supporting character characters. It'll take a helluva writer to keep interest up beyond the Cap's BF and spy intrigue angle.

THE HEROIC AGE IS HERE! The deadliest hero from IRON MAN 2, INVINCIBLE IRON MAN and CAPTAIN AMERICA fights for her life! Somebody wants the super-spy codenamed the Black Widow dead…and they came damn close! Now Natasha Romanoff, recovering and angry, chases the trail with fatal skill! What do her friends Iron Man, Wolverine and Daredevil know about her would-be killer…and why won’t they help her?!

Because in #1 they bad guys cut her stomach open and in the last page of the preview Widow says Logan knows what was taken from her.

I'm just guessing since her and Bucky have been screwin' like bunnies for a while.

Presumably, someone informed Bucky of the modern-day miracle known as prophylactics. ;)

That art doesn't look good at all.... ugh...

:csad:

I actually think the art looks great, i love Daniel Acuna's watercolored look, its different. I may buy this book soley for that reason.

Wolverine looks horrible, but the art overall looks all right to me.

^Really? Wolverine looks great to me. He has a grimy, Clint Eastwood look to him and plus he's got his signature haircut back. Alot of artists these days don't draw wolverine like that anymore in favor of the more "Hugh Jackman-sexy" look.

The hair is like half-classic, half-Jackman. It makes Wolverine look like he uses too much hair gel and spends hours primping.

Yeah, I like Marvel but they really need to push their female superheroes like DC does. But to be fair most of the relevant DC female superheroes are from the Batman books (Catwoman, Batgirl, Batwoman, Birds of Prey, etc). Too bad Marvel doesn't have a superhero who can spin off so many other books like Batman does.
