Has there actually been any confirmation that there will most definitely be a third Batman film. Because so far I haven't heard anyone say that it's confirmed. I know with the of Mr. Ledger and all, it's going to be hard for all of them. So, I don't expect one anytime in the near future. So, anyway, if anyone knows forsure, please let me know. :cwink:

It won't be hard for them. They just either don't use the Joker, or they cast someone else. It's going to be made with or without Nolan. A 2012 release is likely.

Life does go on, whether or not a particular life goes on. With the money being made on this franchise I'm sure we could bet on seeing another Batman film within the next 2 years. With or without Nolan, or maybe even Bale. Seems he lost a portion of his fanbase after TDK actually.

All Bale has to do is go back to his BB voice and maybe bulk up some more and he'll win that fanbase back.

Hahaha. Is that what it took for Bale to "lose" half his fanbase? A digitally altered Bat-Voice and a much more realistic slimming down of his body?

Man, you guys are ****ing fickle. Hahahaha.

I didn't say I was included in said fanbase, but even a bat-dolt can realize he lost some fans...in part yes, because of the overdoing of the voice. In no part, however, to the slimming down. I mean I really doubt it.

I prefer Slimfast Batman to the Bloated Batman in Begins. His voice in Begins was better than the one he used in TDK, but man every time I saw him talk in Begins wearing that costume, it seemed he just finished eating 3 mushroom bacon and swiss burgers!

He didn't lose me. Bale is still my favorite Batman, but just read the boards and you can see people complaining about him being too skinny and having a terrible voice.

He could be any size shape and use any voice and all the people that were *****ing would still be there opening night. People just like to ***** for the sake of it. Yes his voice was annoying but I'm quite sure no one is gonna say "oh is he doing the same voice from TDK. Well that broke the bank for me there. No way Im gonna see this film now."

I doubt Bale lost fans because of the slimming down. Because by that logic Keaton wouldn't have any fans.

lol is this voice thing really that big of a deal? I mean these people appear to be quite angry because other people dont like his "batman voice" Who the ef cares?

Well, what I actually meant to ask is has Nolan said that he'll definitely direct the third one. And I believe I heard somewhere that Bale did sign on for three films, therefore he would be in breach of contract if he decided not to do a third one. To be honest, after watching Michael Shannen in Revolutionary Road, I realized that he is basically The Joker. The one that Ledger portrayed, anyway. It's as if Ledger acted the way that Shannen is in real like. Watch the movie, which isn't that great, but his performance does honestly make it worthwhile. He's the only person that I've seen so far that I think could reprise that role. I've heard that Depp is interested. And yes, I'm a huge fan of him, but I'm tired of people acting as if he can pull off anything. I just don't see him in that role. The Riddler possibly, but not the Joker. If he were going to do that, then he should have played him from the start. His own way. It's just so awful that they ended TDK the way that they did. Looking as if more or less they would have to bring back the Joker. I loved the film, but honestly, I thought it ended rather strange. You should always end a movie with an ENDING. Because something could happen, such as Heath's in this case, that could prevent there from being a third film. It's such a shame that they ended it that way, because now they pretty much have to bring him back. A cameo atleast. But, I do wish you friends would check out Michael Shannen in Revolutionary Road and tell me what you think. His actions, the way he moves his mouth, the way he crosses his legs, smokes his cigarette, talks... Even the looks that he gives. He is what Ledger acted to be. It's amazing really, I almost fainted when I saw it. He's the only one that gives me hope. But honestly, if Bale, Nolan, Freeman, Caine, and the rest of the gang do not return. I do not want there to be another film. It will be just like last time. We got Shumacher, bat-nipples, bat-skates, and Arnold. If they make another one without everyone that was on board for the last two, I'll honestly believe that history does repeat itself. Who agrees?

If we got a total recast for the next film my enthusiasm would also go down considerably, at least at first, but as long as the next director is more competent than Schumacher we won't have any batnipples. At least WB ought to have learned their lesson after the last debacle and we'll never see another light happy Batman again.

No next director, Nolan is all over this. I believe in Chris Nolan!

I completely agree! I believe in him just as I did Tim Burton. Though, Burton did lack on Returns, B89' takes the cake for me. I look at B89' and Begins/Dark Knight as two completely different generations. Nicholson will always be my Joker, because he's the one that I grew up on. But Ledger in also my Joker, just in a different way. I know everyone understands what I'm saying. That is if you were born in the eighties, haha.

How exactly did Bale lose fans? Sure people have not been too fond of the Batman voice but I don't think he lost any fans.

If Bale's lost some fans it's probably more because of the T4 rant than anything Batman related.

EDIT - Never mind....
