A Thread For The Disappointments

I can never see a Pink Floyd reunion show now that Rick Wright died

I'm dissapointed that I missed out on Daft Punk's Alive 07' concert. Hopefully I can catch one of their tours in 2010 or 2011.

I know you probably work for a bigger company but... How did you get professional budgeting? My friends and I are making an indie film, and we're trying to get help with our budget... It'd be cool if you could just point me in the right direction.

Hard work and elbow grease.

Seriously, though, I had it budgeted, I didn't actually obtain the budget. Someone who works in professional theatre doing sets, lighting and effects gave me an idea of what it would cost to stage an off Broadway level version of my project.

I'm not in the business at all. Quite honestly, I have no idea how people secure budgets.

Just at my parents~ they still haven't prepared themselves on what to do after I am gone. :facepalm

It's just not the same without Vince Vivialdi Trio's "Christmas Time Is Here".

20% of the population (post 2003): Your either crazy, stupid, ignorant, or just hate this country. Possibly all 4. And why in the hell does 80% of my family fall into that 20%?

Bad Drivers: I know that lights, horns, and signals are just an extra decisions to confuse you as your out to get your Beer, Crack, or Tater Tots. But I don't appreciate you almost killing me or damaging my vehicle on a daily basis. Try to learn to use those buttons and knobs a bit more, and be conscientious of others when you drive, because we dont want to bludgeon you with a tire iron after you fly unannounced across two lanes so you don't miss that turn/ exit.

True Blood.

I just checked out the first episode. I wouldn't have even bothered but it's Alan Ball so i gave it a chance... Wow! Bits of that were just flat-out ridiculous... I thought Ball was gonna do something interesting with the whole Vampire thing but instead a lot of it seemed to me to be like how i would imagine Twilight to be like...
Also, the Bell character is NOT sexy and enigmatic... He's a *****e! Everytime he mysteriously appeared in a scene to stare "smoulderingly" at people, i just wanted to slap him upside the head and scream "Wise up!"

Why does being a vampire in a movie/tv show instantly make you a fart-sniffing tool these days?

I'd fill this thread up with personal disappointments so I'll just say that I'm disappointed with myself in general. The bad thing is is that I'm aware of my own failings and haven't truly done anything to correct them... procrastination at it's ugliest.

Also, I'm disappointed in all this disappointment... now I need some zoloft.

I was disappointed in Comc-Con this year... Apart from Iron Man 2 footage (That wasn't even leaked!) Their wasn't really any news i was terribly interested in...

Wow... Can't believe I'm the first to bring this up on a comics site after 2 pages...

The Way Civil War Ended

And I'm in the same boat as BatMatt regarding never getting to see a complete (post-Syd Barrett complete anyway) Pink Floyd reunion...

:whatever:

Ahhh, the Rolleyes... For when posters can't take a joke.

:hehe:
Peace.
I'm a little defensive of this thread. It's only two pages in and already i've taken quite a lotta grief over it.

Which is, y'know... Disappointing.

And to add to that, Amazing Spider-man: One More Day/Brand New Day.

I didn't even bother with Civil War. I saw what they did to spider-man and made a point of boycotting it.

With the exception of The Spectacular Spider-man cartoon, it really is a bad time to be a fan of the wall crawler...
