Do you guys think Marvel would ever trust any actors or directors to do both act and direct. the guy who directed Iron man had a small part in IM as happy hogan. What do you guys think?

Depends on if the guy has legitimate acting experience... you don't want an M. Night Shamylan rearing his ugly acting chops on the screen if you want a good film. Favreau will work brilliantly in IM2... his character may be involved in a love traingle with Potts and Stark... it will make for GREAT humor... if you think Bruce Cambell in Spiderman was good... I think that dynamic will work even better than that.

When you hire Kenneth Branagh to direct I think you're assuming that he'll cast himself as something. He rarely doesn't.
