Action Film Champion

Got this idea from another thread. One post suggested a poll but that was discounted. I will use a poll for this tournament and here is how it will work.

1. 16 action stars available

2. when the poll closes the star with the most votes will be seeded against the star with the least. The star with the second most votes will face the star with the second fewest and so on...

3. all matches will be open for discussion until a winner is determined

4. the sole survivor wins the title of 'Action Film Champion'

Couldn't choose between the 6 guys who played and didn't have enough room for all so I combined them.

I guess if you think those six guys gave the world the best action character then vote for them.

They can be the 6 headed monster of our tournament. The Beast, or Thing, or Blanca.

Pfft, Connery is Bond. He had the right charisma, and he's cooler than any other actor who's ever graced the screen. He oozed Bond. Everyone else seemed somewhat forced in comparison.

I haven't seen it, but Van Helsing is generally regarded as crap. I liked Swordfish, but it's hardly a great movie. Personally, Jackman, who do I greatly admire as an actor, isn't good with action outside of X-Men. I can see him becoming a great leading man in the vein of Grant or even Caine, but I think he should hang up the action star title for some time.
