Ok so people want proof, here's your proof

http://www.ps3land.com/article-409.php

"JeuxVideo, a French gaming news site, recently published an article which states the retail price of two PlayStation 3 games: Sonic The Hedgehog will be €67 and Snooker Championship will be €73. The US Dollar conversion for the prices are $86 and $93."

$93 dollars for ****ing snooker! bwahahahahaha I'll take bankshot billiards for a fiver off of live thanks. PS3 is gonna tank so hard!

Thats a straight conversion and that dosent work out since they pay more for games in Europe anyway.

maybe so but that still means a minimum price of around 70 dollars, we pay £50 for 360 games, you pay $60

Therefore £60 for a game should translate to around 72 dollars

Its like Australia. We pay AU$120 for games and thats roughly US$92 If you do a straight conversion.

Only poblem is its never a straight conversion.

Listen to the man. He's right. I wish people would stop using daft conversions like this.

The PS3 launches in Britain for £425, but by no means does that mean the PS3 is launching in the US for $800. Likewise, 360 games hit £40, but that doesn't equate to $75 in the US.

Stop converting stupidly people. It doesn't work like that.

Having looked at www.play.com and www.amazon.co.uk it appears PS3 games will be launching over here for £50, which is steeper than usual. 360 games come in a £40, and PS2 games at £30.
